BMR= Basal Metabolic Rate and it's the amount of calories your body would burn if you stayed in bed all day long doing nothing but breathing etc. It's been said that you should never eat under your BMR. i just finished week 1 last night. it's really hard for me to stick with it too, because i dont get home from work until 6:30, then have to make dinner, deal w/kids and can't do my workout till they are in bed. I've been hitting the sack around midnight every night. But , it's gonna be so worth it!!! JUST KEEP CRUSHING…

I think getting 50% of calories from protein WITHOUT protein powder is simply impossible. The above poster mentioned ordering it online, can you do that?

it'll take a couple weeks for your body to adjust...........stick with it, just choose good foods with your extra calories!

^^EXACTLY.... it is definitely going to matter what foods you consume to make up the difference..... you can't use this as an excuse to eat soda/chips/ice cream etc, etc......... that's how we all got here ;0)

You can figure out your own TDEE... just try googling for a TDEE calculator. Worst case scenario, you can at least find your BMR here on MFP under the "TOOLS" tab. Try eating at least your BMR + all your exercise calories. TDEE= Total Daily Energy Expenditure

Started p90x last Friday and their recommendation for me, based on my height/weight/activity level, was around 2500 per day. They are already figuring in what you'll burn, the same way MFP gives you 'extra' calories after logging a workout. i get dizzy when i'm dehydrated, or if i haven't had something to eat an hour or two before my workout....

calculate your BMR, and eat that amount of calories for a couple weeks and see what happens. When you work out, you need to eat more! EDIT: eat at your BMR plus your exercise calories!!!!

the chest and back disc is ALL pushups and pullups. There are modifications for the pull ups. You could do "wall" push ups instead? Pretty sure you could still do all the other discs, though some of the yoga moves may be a little tough.

when i shop without trying things on, i ALWAYS buy a size too small cuz i think i can fit it!!! And, i also never realized how big i was until i saw some unflattering photos of myself!!

first remedy for a headache (in my opinion), is a TON of water........... could be dehydrated, especially if you're a caffeine drinker.

I'm in Ohio too and just started some seeds for: Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Dill, Oregano, Garlic Chives. I'll also plant Tomatoes, Beans, Peppers, Swiss Chard, Kale, melons, onions, eggplant, and lots of other herbs. We have a small strawberry patch, and we'll be trying corn and potatoes for the first time this year. YAY…

try just planting seeds in ground...........some veggies don't "like" being transplanted!

Boneless pork loin in bottom of crock, jar of peach preserves over the pork, potatoes on top. Don't add liquid. Cook on low for 6 hours. and BUMPPPPP for later reading;0)

Try it for a few weeks but keep everything else the same. One thing is not going to work for everybody, so you just have to find what works for you. It'll take a bit of experimenting with your calorie intake.......

it is definitely confusing. My suggestion is to eat the 1200 calories recommended by MFP, because if you work out you'll earn "extra" calories. Do this for awhile and if there gets to a point where your weight loss slows down, increase them to your BMR calories. EDITED: Forgot to say: never eat less than 1200 net calories…

Next time you try saving the other half do this: leave the seed in there, sprinkle a bit of lemon juice over it, and tightly wrap in plastic wrap. Don't use a sandwich baggie, use saran wrap instead.
