It's my opinion that most of us who are overweight have a food addiction of some sort. So yes, there is such a thing. The problem is, you have to refrain from eating everything but the refrigerator if you want to lose weight. WILLPOWER. It sucks, but it is what it is.

i love mine and highly recommend it. MFP's calculations for calorie burn were always higher than what the machines would say at the gym, and definitely higher than what my HRM says. WORTH IT IF YOU'LL USE IT!

i didnt read all the comments, so sorry if this is a repeat, but i be you were dehydrated!! When i get dehydrated, it makes me feel dizzy AND lightheaded. Try to up your water intake for the next day or two and see how you feel. It's easy to rule out because you can rehydrate in a matter of hours/days instead of playing…

So the advice i got (that worked for me) was this: Monday: full body strength + cardio Tuesday: cardio only Wednesday: full body strength + cardio Thursday: cardio only Friday: full body strength +…

Less than 5 minutes on an elliptical machine will knock that 30 calories outta the park! Don't be so hard on yourself, it takes some time to get used to things....!

Ya, i love this stuff. i add it to all kinds of things........added it to beef/broccoli stir fry last week. i also use it on salads.

1. Mixed greens, kidney beans (or black beans), corn (cut off the cob in chunks), red onion, tomatoes, croutons....sometimes with a smidge of french dressing, and sometimes no dressing at all.... 2. Mixed greens, assorted veggies, and a packet of Tuna Creations Lemon Pepper Tuna on top.......no dressing needed.

and i also STRONGLY agree with weighing and measuring your food. Eventually you'll get to the point where you can eyeball it, but not in the beginning!!!!!
-
Don't give up yet!! Keep up the exercise and eating at BMR calories and concentrate on two things: drink tons of water (70-80 ounces at least) and lower your sodium intake.

i'm 5'2..........my highest weight was 171, but i'm in the low 150's now. Aiming for 125, but i may not be able to get that low since I'll be strength training. Will re-evaluate when i get closer!

i found in the beginning when i weighed or measured every bite of food i consumed, i was losing weight. When i started guessing at the portions, i started gaining again. Are you exercising? Drinking water? Watching your macronutrients?

Thanks Plumnbagel.... i think i'll keep the corn completely separate from my main garden area because i don't want to sacrifice all the space. With only a few ears per stalk, i will need quite a bit to get the yields i want (assuming we are successful). **EDIT: i remember reading somewhere that i should grown corn in a…

I wasn't thinking along the lines of meat, LOL, but yeah.....that totally counts! My mom joked last year that all i needed now was a pig in the corner of the yard.....;0)

you can grow veggies in any kind of container that has holes in bottom and ample room. i once saw a person use 10 empty paint cans (they lined them with plastic and poked holes in bottom).........and they grew all sorts of things on their balcony ledge. They had no yard. I've also seen people buy a bag of dirt, cut holes…

so last year, someone gave me some June Bearer (?) strawberry runners and i planted them. They grew, but produced no fruit, as expected for the first year. Any idea what to expect this year??? i have no experience in growing berries...
