  • I thought it was just me! It's really annoying.
  • Mine is scheduled to come in June. I wasn't going to get one because I have to bring my phone on my run either way, but I like that I can easily access my playlist and my running app (see distance, MPH, etc) from my wrist. Otherwise, I cannot access these at all with the waist belt that I currently use to carry my phone…
  • When I started c25k, I gained two pounds the first week and didn't lose them for four weeks. Be patient; your hard work will pay off
  • I'll add you! I have been on this journey for about 3 years...I think. I lost about 40 pounds, put all but 10 back on and went back on it back in August and I am now down a total of 43 pounds from when I started. I have about 69 more pounds to go until my goal. I also work full time and have a 4 and a 6 year old. Life can…
  • I'm not a MOB (and since my daughter is only 6 right now, I better not be for a very long time, lol), but I just want to say you ladies are so cute! I can feel your excitement for your daughters and it is wonderful. Have fun at the wedding and good luck on your journey!
  • Thank you for the links and all of the suggestions/comments everyone! I was afraid the elliptical was going to be my best bet; I loathe the elliptical, but I would hate to have to start all over with running even more, so I will take to the elliptical once I can do that comfortably. I do have a recumbent bike at home and I…
  • I went to Culver's (a restaurant with FANTABULOUS frozen custard and AMAZING fried cheese curds, for those of you who do not have the pleasure of having a Culver's near you) last night to get ice cream for my kids and husband and I didn't get any for myself! Actually, that's a freakin' major success!!!
  • OMG why??????
  • Why is there no "like" button???!!!
  • How do you make those taste like the honey nut cheerios?
  • I've been having some minor pain in my calf/side shin area, so I started wearing a compression calf sleeve during my runs and I really notice a difference! I don't necessarily notice a difference in my performance; just that the pain is not there while running when I wear it.
  • I went on two separate vacations late this winter and my goal was to stay the same weight. I was pleasantly surprised to get home and see that I managed to do that (both times!!). I made sure I worked out every day of my vacation; get out and take some walks, see the sites, enjoy the atmosphere of your vacation spot. Swim…
  • I'm about the same. I am 5'2.5" and weigh 193 (my starting weight was 233, though). My goal is to be in the 120's. Add me, if you'd like! Good luck on your journey!
  • I am so sorry you have been through so much! I'm really not very good at giving advice; I just wanted to give you some support in your journey. Friend me if you'd like. I may not be good in the advice department, but I am a great listener
  • Still a work in progress, but this is 35 pounds down. I still have 65 to go. Funny how I didn't realize how much better I look until I compared pictures.
  • Anything from Pittbull! His stuff has such a great tempo and I treadmill dance everything his stuff comes onto my Pandora station. I'm sure I look like a total tool, but it just really pumps me up!
  • A mid-sized microwave, or four pounds shy of my 4.5 year old. I carried him around Disney World last month and I can't believe I used to carry that extra amount around all day, every day! Ultimate goal is to lose a two month old horse.
  • DONE!!!! I actually completed the program last week, but forgot to post. I am nowhere near the 10 minute mile the app tells me I should be at, but I can run a full 5k and that is all I wanted! Next step....10k! Last night I even ran 3.25 miles on the treadmill (the treadmill kills me; it is so much easier to run outside…
  • 20 pounds in a month is really aggressive and unless you are really overweight, it is not even healthy. Why do you have to lose it in a month? That amount of weight should take you months to lose, not just one month. Running can definitely help you lose weight, just like any exercise will. But, it won't be a miracle…
  • I've also been battling a nasty cough this week and I agree with the hot lemon honey water. I put 1 tablespoon honey and two slices of fresh Lemmon in a mug of water. I heat it in the microwave until hot and sip in bed at night. I am feeling better today, but I think ill have a cup tonight anyway because it is so yummy!
  • Done with W8D2. I was able to run outside twice last week and was able to run 3k non stop both times, but I have yet to hit that on the treadmill (best I've done is 2.5 miles non-stop). I always thought running on the treadmill would be easier, but boy was I wrong! I was pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is to run…
  • I ran outside for the first time last week (that was week 7 for me) and my plan was to just run. I ended up running a full 5k, with no walking breaks! The closest I got to that on the treadmill was 2.5 miles. I also use Map My Walk and my splits were all faster than the treadmill. For whatever reason, running outside is…
  • I love my Brooks Adrenalin running shoes. I also have a pair of New Balance that are good for walking.
  • That is so awesome!! Great work!

  • Completed w5d3 today no problemo. This is the fourth run in a row where I have ran 2.25 miles. That takes me about 33 minutes. I would say that today was the hardest run so far. I really had to push myself to get to 2.25 miles. After that, I walked for three minutes, ran until I hit three miles and then walked five minutes…
