Good advice everyone, thank you! I will definitely try setting the treadmill at an incline going forward and I can't wait to get outside and run. I have a feeling it won't take long for the treadmill to get boring.

Thanks PaytraB! As soon as the weather warms up I plan on moving at least one run a week outside. Hopefully I will have a few weeks before the 5k that I can do that. One of the local Y's has an indoor track, so I could always go to that Y a few weeks before the race and try running on the track there. Thanks for the…

I started my first day on Wednesday, lol! So, yeah I am a total noob. I'm doing day 2 tonight and I'm really looking forward to it. It has given me a renewed excitement in both exercising and my healthy eating. My "ladies" are also quite voluptuous. I actually have to wear my regular bra with a sports bra over it to give…

Glad to hear your ankle is doing better! I also turn lobster red while running. Hopefully that will stop once I'm in better shape.

Hi everyone! I just did W1D1 yesterday and it went well (aside from my flailing arms getting tangled in my headphones cord and sending my phone flying off the treadmill, through my legs, and halfway through the Y - so embarrassing!). It was easier than I thought it would be, so that was encouraging. I plan on running MWF…

OMG!!! The suspense is killing me!! Did you take the test yet???

I'm glad I found this! I thought it was just me. I don't really mind the calories not syncing to Bodymedia, but the exercise not syncing to MFP really messes me up.

Here is a general guideline of what your goals should be set at: If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal, If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal, If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal, If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5…

I do not eat my exercise calories back, but I have also had my Dr. tell me I don't have to. I eat between 1300 and 1500 calories a day and burn at least 500 calories (the calories are based on my BodyMedia armband, so I know they are not being over estimated). So, I net way less than 1200 calories a day. I do have about 70…

I'm not really a fan of water myself, but I do find that it keeps me full so I'm less likely to snack throughout the day. I add flavor to my water (normally Crystal Light, but there are tons of other things out there, too). I also drink it in a 32 oz bottle with a straw. I think using a straw makes me drink more (that…

I don't think it's malware. I get this too on my home computer (first time was yesterday) and I JUST got it on my work computer as well. Mine is for updating my Flash Player.

It's hard! My kids are at school/daycare all day (I have a six and a four year old), so the time I get to spend with them is limited and I hate taking some of that time away from them for myself. I feel selfish, you know? BUT, like someone else said, it's good for them to see me workout and either I take a half hour a day…

Check out Lauren Fitz on youtube. She has a ton of Zumba videos up and they are awesome. I love Zumba, but am way too uncoordinated and self conscious to do the class at the Y. I like doing the youtube ones because I can do the same one a few times in a row until I get the hang of it. I like repetition, so repeating…

I have a Fitbit One and I love it! It keeps me motivated to get my steps in and keep moving. I don't sync mine to MFP, but that's because I have a BodyMedia armband as well and I prefer to sync that device instead. I do like that I have the option to sync it, though so I don't have to manually log all of my exercise.…

I was down 8 pounds in September and was heading in the right direction for another 8 pounds this month, and then I went out of town for a week for work. I thought I was doing OK, but was shocked when I got home and weighed in 6 pounds heavier than I was when I left! Oy! :s I'm hoping that by the end of this week I'm back…

GO PACKERS!!! Appleton-ite (or is it Appletonian???) here. I'm definitely up for some WI friends!

Your progress is inspiring! I downloaded this app a few weeks ago, but wasn't sure when I wanted to start it (I live in Wisconsin, so the weather is getting colder and I have to take my 4 year old out with me and I don't want it to get too cold for him). You are making me want to start it now, even with the cooler weather…

I have been on Lexapro for about six months and I haven't noticed weight gain or an increased appetite. I've actually lost 15 pounds in the last month and a half after starting back on exercising and eating better. I'm only taking 5 mg, though so maybe that's why I haven't noticed a weight gain or inability to lose.

I agree!

Born and raised Wisconsinite here! My blood runs green and gold and deep fried cheese curds are my kryptonite. :)

You look fantastic! I LOVE your advice!

You could march in place while on a call. I do that a lot while I'm at the copier, heating up my lunch, on the phone, etc.

It is definitely a step in the right direction realizing you have a problem and you need professional help. I think asking for a referral from your primary Dr. is a good idea. You can get through this and you will be stronger for it. Good luck with your journey.

Don't give up! I know it can be frustrating, but just stick with it. BTW, Woman in Wisconsin Winter Syndrome might be a real thing, lol (not really, but seeing as how I live in Wisconsin and the last winter we just had, I might have that!).

Yup; every day! But, I also work out at home, so that's not so weird. If I went to a gym, then no I would not work out in my PJs.

You look amazing!

Go Packers! I'm in!

BTW My user name by the way is referring to a friends episode name. [/quote] Well then I'm changing my name to Crap Bag.

Hi! I have a four year old boy and a six year old girl. My son challenges me every. Single. Day. But man I wouldn't trade him for the world. He's crazy, but he has my heart  My daughter is an amazing helper and a "little mommy". I'm sure I'll pay for her easy going younger years when she's a teenager. I work…

Coffee is my friend! There is no way I'd give up coffee for anything, so I make sure that my coffee with the two tablespoons of creamer I put into it fits in my daily goals. As long as it fits in your daily goals, there is no need to give it up.
