Call me arrogant all you want but overly aggressive sustained dieting has negative impacts on health. I'm not assuming anything. I'm telling you facts. If you want to run the risk of losing muscle mass, hair, lowering the calories it takes you to maintain, and the laundry list of negative impacts that are a result of it.…

Okay, I'll play. May 2013 I gave birth to my second baby. I'd been overweight for about 6 years. Never touched a barbell or dumbbell in my life... I started MFP June 2013, after my 6 week postpartum check up 170 lbs at 5'3.5 " Then, I fell in love with lifting Around November I finished my weight loss at 119 lbs When I…

The advice is for the sake of health both mental and physical. This isn't about a scale number. This isn't about a destination. It should be about lasting change. Listening to successful people on the board, reflecting through success stories, you'll see even people who had 100s to lose did to at a sustainable pace and…

Whatever the hell I want while staying in my respective calories goals....but that's just me and we all know I'm special.

I'm wearing a bra! I dedicated my time to fitness because. ..why the hell not? I do eat what I want...iifym! I lift because I want to be crazy strong AND sexy. I think I'm doing okay.

Are you looking to build muscle or lose weight? What is your goal? While those two aren't mutually exclusive, ideally a calorie surplus is needed for building muscle...and a weightlifting program and proper protein. If you're in a deficit you might see minor noob gains but nothing significant. As far as timing, outside of…

I'm sorry if its been asked before. Are you weighing your food on a food scale? If you've stalled for several weeks, I would check to make sure you're as close to accurate as you can. Especially since your intake is already on the low side. Nutrient dense foods like avacado, nuts, bananas, lean meats, fruits, peanut…

3x a week is a lot? I'm not saying that this should be the golden number.... I'm saying I'm an example of how being short doesn't necessarily mean eating fewer calories than someone taller....

My diary is open. You're welcome to cruise the past week or so. I generally do have a poptart (especially since pumpkin pie season!) And chips I save for evening snacks some days....mainly cheetos. I've been losing at about .5 lb a week average on my current intake and I'm recovering from an injury, so I assure you I don't…

Those body responses in regards to carbs shouldn't effect your fat loss. Protein has the same reaction in the body. I ate high carb for weight loss on. However, I did prioritize hitting my nutrient needs and getting optimal proteins, fats, and fibers. I seem to have done fine losing fat. Often, people get scammed into low…

I'd think 2 lbs a week would be the max you'd want to lose. 10 lbs a month is INSANE. Unless morbidly obese and that would be under doctor supervision. But you're right, no one can stop you. Just trying to prevent you from taking others down with you.
-
Pick a number and see how the weight trends, adjust from there. Aim for .5-1lb a week loss. Numbers will vary for everyone.

Kick-start your metabolism? I'd see a new nutritionist. Your metabolism should always be functioning...unless you're dead. In fact, eating in a calorie surplus for extended periods actually help metabolism, so unless you have a medical condition, you should be in a prime position FOR weight loss without doing anything…

I have had two kids. Took me 9 months to lose 53 lbs and the next 7 months doing a bulk/recomp in weightlifting but I'm happy with my stomach now. I highly recommend you read a friend of mines success story  http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/971636-my-story-of-sweet-revenge-pics She's amazing and one of my…

What happens after that? Do I explode?

Not behind anything. You're feeding the current fad of dieting nonsense. I never questioned eating nutrient dense foods but once my nutrient needs are met, I don't get bonus points for eating more.... calories are a unit of energy by the way, so yes, yes they are. I haven't been ill in over a year outside of a tiny cold…

No matter what diet you choose, it will always come down to calories in vs out. So yes, if after several weeks you are not losing weight I would buy a digital food scale and weigh anything solid and make sure you're logging every single thing 100% of the time.

You know what I stuck to? Getting my nutrient intake and staying in a moderate deficit. Enjoying foods I love. that includes sugar, processed foods and fast food in moderation. Lost 53 lbs and greatly improved my BF%, overall fitness.... and I didn't have to smoothie a thing.

Do they have chocolate glazed? If yes buy one ♡.♡

Except....this saying is wrong too. My favorite saying is....A calorie surplus makes me fat.

I'm going to doubt you ever avoid sugar unless you don't eat any veggies or fruit that contain them.... .....LOL. So, I guess my 53 lb loss and significant improvement in BF%, fitness level increase mean nothing because of the evil sugar I've eaten over that time period? Huh? All those pints of ice cream while also getting…
