I lost 24 pounds last summer with exercise and MFP. Exercise kept those pounds off during the school year. Now that another summer is upon us, I'm ready to start counting calories again.

With MFP, I've learned "backsliding" is okay, as long as I track my calories and stay within my calorie goal. I started summer with an exercise log (12-week calendar format), with weight goals in the margin. Two days ago I added two more pages to the log which I will use to track progress to my goal weight. I've lost 10 pounds so far by changing food habits and rowing for 30 minutes, twice a day, six days a week. I don't care how long it takes, I WILL do this. 49 pounds to go. 49 pounds sounds like so much to me, so I focus on the next pound, not the total. I joined MFP to accelerate the progress I've made so far.
