  • And here's the answer from 1byOne tech support regarding syncing the scale's info to MyFitnessPal app/account: "We are sorry to tell you that your phone just can connect to our own app. Please download our 1byone wellness APP"
  • Did you find out how to sync the 1byone smart scale App with MyFitnessPal. I have a Samsung rather than iPhone. I put in a question to the tech support for 1byone. Just got this smart scale, but rather not have to manually put in the info to MyFitnessPal (which I've used for years).
  • I"m in the exact same place, and have done this more than once. I reach my goal, feel 'justified' in having extra goodies, or skipping workouts since I'm "at my goal". And my friends who'd started on myfitnesspal had long ago dropped off. Then, a pound creeps up....nah, nothing to worry about. Over a few months, it's 5 lbs…
  • What timing.... I just turned 50 this month! Last year I used MFP and my 16 year old nephew and I worked all summer getting fit, eating right and he lost 50 lbs! I got back to my weight from my 20's! Then...he headed off to school and I got lazy. Stopped working out, started eating anything I wanted, candy bars almost…
  • What an inspiration! You're doing great and I hope I can stay as motivated as you are!
  • That's AWESOME! And don't I see an Eliptical machine in the background...you've obviously used it for more than a dress hanger, great work! Keep it up!
  • Every morning before eating or coffee
  • Me too! I just started back with MyFitnessPal ... it worked great for me last summer, and then bascially I got lazy! I need motivation and it always helps me to have 'friends' out there for support.
  • Hey Amanda! After many attempts to get myself a healthier lifestyle, this is the first time I've managed to keep moving beyond a week. I hope you like MFP....'friend' me if you'd like, lots of folks on here to help you stay motivated! Ciao! Shannon
  • Grab a friend, grab the family dog....but get out there! Maybe doing all those extra miles started to burn you out already? Try for a week to 'just meet your goal. If it's 3 miles each day, then do those 3 miles. When/if you're ready, then push it up to more. However, I would note that every single day might be ambitious.…
  • Congrats on meeting your goal! Rewards are really a personal kinda thing....a coach purse would sit on a shelf in my closet, but an iPad would be a fun new toy to me. So...whatever your heart yearns for that's a bit of a splurge, go for it!

  • I use the Nike+ pedometer and it's not reliable when I'm on an eliptical machine (same for bikes). Sometimes it doesn't measure anything.
  • Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars (more filling than the Fiber One bars, I think) Sliced Red Bell Pepper (I eat these like chips...taste great and low cal!) Trailmix Cereal (I get my favorite and put it in ziplocks, eat like a snack...Cinnamin Toast Crunch) Sliced apples with some peanut butter to dip it in! Most any kind…
  • Here's something new to try...and from Home! Go to the self.com website's fitness section and you can create your own custom video workout using their tool. http://workouts.self.com/ A little something different to shake up your motivation! Ciao! Shannon
  • So ya go do a mile walk at a good pace and then come home and see if you still have the snack attack. Take the dog with you, he'll love the walk too! If you still have the snack attack, you can get a snack up to however many calories you burned on the walk! Great motivator to get walkin'!

  • You're looking awesome! I'm happy you posted your 'before' pics, there are going to be lots of folks who will be inspired by your progress and kick their own exercise into high gear. Congrats on your progress towards your goal...you should be proud!
  • Well, sounds like you've shed yourself over probably 100+ lbs by making him an EX, so good move there. If this program does nothing more than help you become aware of what you're consuming and what exercises burn the most calories, it'll at least point you in the right direction. I like adding my food & exercise info each…
  • I just started a week ago on myfitnesspal, and just setup my signature...so will test it here as well. I think we all need support 'n motivation....especially when the scale doesn't wanna move in the right direction!
