Yeah!!! A non-weight challenge, just my type. Otherwise I restrict, restrict, restrict then BINGE... UGH I'm counting the flights of stairs I climb at work or take at the subway. Guess this means I need to stop taking the escalator. ;-) MON –Flights of Stairs: 8 ~ F/V: 6 TUES – Flights of Stairs: 6 ~ F/V: 4 (not as good…

IMO, food should have calories unless it is a spice. How can something like those products have that much flavor and no calories? One word, CHEMICALS! I am not a perfect eater. If I was, I wouldn't be trying to lose any weight. But there are a few things I refuse to put in my body. I would rather eat real, natural dressing…

Thanks for the advice. Gluten Free is actually one thing I am used to. They told me I was allergic then not allergic to it. ugh But I dislike GF bread greatly!!! But certain wraps don't bother me as much. So maybe I will try them. But too much kills me... I will try those. Has anyone ever made hummus before? They don't…

I love pancakes so I tend to make clean ones every morning but 2 different recipes. 1) Oatmeal Pancakes 4 egg whites + 1/2c old fashioned oatmeal + cinnemon and sweetener to taste. Mixed, let sit for 5 minutes for oatmeal to absorb Cook like a regular pancake 2) Flax pancakes 1 egg + 2 egg whites + 3 Tbsp flaxseed (ground)…

Thanks so much for the chart but I think I need a W not a M. This week has been emotionally rough but on track with my plan except for Mon. I got horrible news on Monday and at the entire pint of ice cream. Then woke up Tuesday and thought about how that pint doesn't make anything better. Plus Korean ice cream is…

MFP is great!!! But with all greatness comes a fault. It does not differentiate between natural sugars and processed or refined sugars. There are lots of foods that have natural sugar that are fantastic for your body i.e. carrots, milk, yogurt, all fruit etc. If you want to track how much refined sugar you are eating try…

That cauliflower recipe looks AWESOME!!! Can't wait to see some at the commissary so I can try it.

THANK YOU!!!!! Love some of these ideas. I did come home and ate some carrots and a half a protein bar. Just added up my calories for dinner and the snacks and wooohooo I am right on target!!! Eating slowly did help. =) Thanks again!! =)

There are two things I am looking forward to: 1) Wearing last summer's clothes and my bikini, =( I gained 20 lbs in 6 months 2) Learning to maintain my weight. No more yo-yo. So sick of having 2 wardrobes...

Chef Jay (brand) makes some amazing bars. I love the tri-o-plex cookies and brownies. I just ordered the lower sugar cookies to see how they are. I also drink shakes. Taste is definitely a PERSONAL preference. There are shakes I LOVE that my husband absolutely hates and vise versa. I prefer spiru-tein soy protein while my…

Fat-free sugar-free instant chocolate pudding always helps with my chocolate cravings. I freeze a banana (out of the peel) then scoop a 1/2c of the pudding on top of it. Let's face it, sometimes I eat a whole cup of the pudding... Hence the reason I am still in the losing stage. :( The banana fills me up and the chocolate…

I use quinoa in many ways. I use it as a substitute for rice but it also absorbs the flavors of what you cook it in. I have added balsamic vinegar to the water when cooking, I've also added it after. I am GF (gluten free) so I use it in soups instead of barley or any pasta or grain. I have mixed it with chickpeas, basil,…

Quinoa pasta is delicious and is also high in protein Just a tip: rinse it off before you cook it and constantly stir. I also substitute regular quinoa for rice. Also look up clean eating deserts. These only use clean non-processed sweeteners. I don't know about whole grain flours. I am GF and use Bob's Red Mill mix as my…

I weigh twice a week in the a.m. right when I wake up before my shower. Monday is the official WI but Thursdays are a "keep it in check" WI.

I also worked at a Dr's office. Our scale was 2 lbs over and we never calibrated it. Plus I weigh myself at home naked right after my shower. When do you weigh yourself?? You need to add extra weigh for 1) the scale, 2) any fluids & 3) clothing. There is your 8 pounds easily. My dr knows that I weigh myself weekly and…

Wow! The only problem is that that word is an understatement!! If only you could see the jaw wide open and having a hard time closing. You look radiant and not just size wise. Your happiness is truly beaming through! I know it must be frustrating losing slower than you want. But just remember that your skin needs time to…

PS Galbi is the meat that you cook in front of you. Or at least that's how it's done in Korea. If you have any questions about any other Korean Food let me know. I eat it on a daily basis and know the Korean names for most of it. =)
