I think your mum B. I think mum A was maybe over reacting but then if she has children from other families coming it's a bit more understandable - she's making the choice for her kids and also as the responsible adult for a load of other children. To be honest though I don't care that much about head lice so it wouldn't…

Women have it worse. A recent study showed that average salary for women negatively correlated to their weight whereas men have a positive correlation. Also I think that women are more likely to go through life events that can have an impact on their weight (pregnancy and childbirth being the largest), and generally women…

I use the recipe function for dinners, it is really good. Personally I don't worry too much about the vegetables - just put 1 onion or 1 pepper - and just weigh the meat/pasta/potatoes/rice. Then if I make it again I go into the 'edit recipe' and change the weight of anything 'bulky' that's changed.

I have three meals a day; - breakfast is usually cereal with milk (250ish calories) - lunch is either mini pita bread with smoked salmon and cream cheese, something eggy on toast, mushrooms and toast, soup (250ish calories) - dinner is a normal family dinner (e.g. spaghetti bolognaise, chicken pie) which is anywhere from…

Did you breastfeed? That helped me lose some weight.

If you mean weight after the baby is born I lost about 20lb when I was pregnant with my son (was 198lb when I got pregnant, 175lb the week after giving birth) which wasn't intentional but a nice surprise. Puking for a couple of months, carrying the extra baby weight and going off loads of food can do that to you.

I was wondering that too. I have a horrible baby who thinks that more than 2 hours sleep at a time is unacceptable and wakes up at 5am to hit me in the face unti I get up. I weighed a pound more this morning than I did yesterday and was way under calorie limit (though that was probably water retention to be honest).

I read it as if the OP is consistently going say 100 over the calorie allowance set the allowance as 100 lower than it needs to be, so there's a bit of wiggle room at the end.

I need to lose about 30lb but had never had the motivation before thinking it would take too long and I wouldn't be able to stick to a diet. Then I got a stomach bug and lost 5lb in 3 days - losing a 6th of the total I needed to lose (in a horribly uncomfortable way admittedly) got me to actually look into how to continue…
