I find that a handful of semisweet chocolate chips is usually pretty satisfying and not too many calories. Ghirardelli ones are best of course but at the moment I have a bag of Kirkland brand and they're not bad.

If I really want something that's fairly expensive I usually do a ton of research online to see if I can get it for a better price or calculate the likelihood of it going on sale and when.
