Kinda off topic, but I am so glad that we use lbs rather than kgs! I like to see the movement on the scale and it seems to move so much slower when measuring in kgs (since there are 2.2 kgs in 1 lb). I don't think there is a great answer to your question. If you are losing inches, then I would keep doing what you are…

I think that you are doing awesome! I am 5'2" and it took me a year to lose 40 pounds. I think you should celebrate the success. Your loss will probably start to slow down, so don't stress too much.

Nice!

Me too! I've last 40 so far. Congrats! What is your goal weight?

Buy the sweet treats that you like in the pre-portioned containers. Smart Ones has some ice cream and cakes that are portioned out for you. Allow yourself a sweet treat each night... I do. Just fit it into your calorie goals. Don't beat yourself up! Do the best you can and focus on being healthy. It may be a good idea to…

You too, huh? So, I have thought about recording this in mapmyrun because it does exist. Mapmyrun is linked to MFP, though... all my friends would know too much about my activities : )

I gain 1-2 pounds EVERY time that I drink. Got really tired of losing the same 2 pounds over and over and over again. I'm shooting for abstaining until Thanksgiving. It has been 1 month so far and I have FINALLY gotten over my 3 month plateau. I think you made a good choice.

I thought your post was great. Certainly, it was an accident, right? I wish that I could see the original ingredients from my recipes so that I can change them as needed. It would make things so much easier.

Don't freak out over the single pound. Just keep eating right and exercising. Your are so close to your goal that the weight is going to come off much much slower. But, it will come off! In addition, a pound might be a normal body fluctuation. You know... bath room stuff and such. Just keep going.

I was on a plateau for 3 months. Keep working out and eating right. I increased my exercise and dropped my calorie intake by about 100 calories. I cut out alcohol, which is probably the item that was hurting me the most. Step back and really evaluate yourself and your habits. Is there anything that has come back into your…

Don't starve yourself!

Is there an online menu? Stay away from the naan. Otherwise, just look at the menu and try to make the best decision that you can. Stay away from anything fried and you should be fine. It sounds like you are exercising and eating really low calories. I'm surprised that you haven't lost anything. Any ideas why? Just so you…

These shrimp tacos were delish!

Come back alive, thread! San Marcos, Texas! I would love a new work out buddy if there is anyone near by.

I lost 40 pounds! It took me a year, and I am still 10 pounds from my goal weight. I actually just got over a plateau / stall / whatever you want to call it, too. I was stuck between 160 and 162 for 3 months! I simply could not get below 160. I am proud to report that I finally hit 159.6 a few days ago. If that happens to…

San Marcos, Texas... only a few hours : )

I went into the dentist with a red bull and got a really long lecture about how bad it is for your teeth. I still love it, though. It is a pretty expensive habit, also.

Chris Powell is my hero! I did the carb cycling thing for about 2 months. It wasn't for me even though I did have some success with it. I checked out Chris Powell's book from the library and followed his plan.

If you are interested in improving your running, I highly recommend the C25K. I also could not commit to 3-5 days/week. I just got out there as often as I could and completed the next timed session. Some weeks it was 3 times, some weeks it was 2. But I went from not being able to run for more than 15 seconds without dying…

You may remember me from the 5'2" discussion. I truly feel like I would look ill if I got down to 110, 120, or even 130. 140 is probably as low as I will get. Everyone has different frames, even if they are the same height. Go until you feel comfortable with your body.

I ate out A LOT in college and I regret it. The freshman 15 is real! I'm glad that you are planning and trying to figure out how to make good choices. The crock pot idea is the best that I have heard. You can make a meal and portion it out for the next couple of days. All of your friends will be jealous.

How about taking a mini version of your favorite vending machine snack with the fruit or healthy snack. If it is snickers that you love, take a mini snickers. I would probably add a little protein to your snack, too. A banana is good, but a banana on top of a piece of toast with a little nut butter is better. Adding a…

I'm 5'2", down 40 pounds so far.

We have similar stats. Congrats on your success so far!

Everyone wants to be so tiny! I'm 5'2" and currently 162 pounds. I'm down from 200 pounds. My initial goal was 150, but I am thinking about shooting for 140 - 145. It took me a year to loose those 40 pounds. I don't know... it sounds like everyone my height wants to be so tiny, but I am afraid that I would lose my boobs…

Congrats on the success!

How I wish that were true. I have been on a plateau since 6/5/15. I know why... I have given into too many temptations. Alcohol, for example... I eat healthy and exercise regularly but I have been unable to avoid wine this summer. When I drink, I make bad choices and I have a cheat day. Anyways, it is that "cheat day" that…

I'm 5'2" and 162. I can't fit into a size 10 : ( That kinda makes me sad.

I live in San Marcos TX, about 15 miles from Austin TX. I haven't seen anyone near by, which is a shame because I would love a new running buddy
