  • healthy french toast (100% whole wheat bread dipped in egg whites and cooked stove top), very quick and easy. yogurt with or without granola cottage cheese with fruit overnight oats (google it - they are amazing and there are tons of varieties) Hope that helps.
  • I do. For some reason, I have to manually sync almost every time. My VivoActive seems to have an issue connecting with my phone automatically. I have contacted Garmin about it but they never responded.
  • I think so!

  • I have done the C25K and C210K. It is an amazing program. My schedule is hectic and inconsistent so I just got out there as often as I could and did the next day. I was usually able to get 3-4 days in. I definitely recommend skipping a week or 2 if you already have some endurance built up. But don't skip too much and push…
  • I got the Garmin VivoActive with the HR chest strap. I like it so far. There are a few things that I wish it could do and the syncing is a b****, but it has most of the functions that I want. Feel free to add me on Garmin Connect: TracyeS4
  • Danskin! I love the way they fit and they do not slip at all when I run. I have tried expensive UA and Nike pant, but they just won't stay put. At $9, the capri or shorts with ties can not be beat.
  • That is awesome! Did you just start running or have you been a runner for awhile? My mom thinks that she is too old to start running. She is a 56 year old smoker. I think that she could if she wanted to. I told her about the C25K. I would have never been able to get where I am without that program!
  • Texas here. I prefer the heat to the cold, but I can only run after dark. It is way too hot during the day and I feel like my skin is going to slough off. I definitely feel heavy and gross during a run in the heat. It also slows me wayyyy down. It sounds like there could be some benefits to running in the heat, but I don't…

  • Feel free to add me,also. Just got the Vovoactive and I am super excited. Already getting some good info.
  • It is only 5 weeks. If you really want to meet your goal, dodge the alcohol for 2 weeks and see what happens. Then go out with your friends. Then wait another 2 weeks. Every time I drink, I gain weight. Of course, if I open a bottle of wine, I must finish said bottle of wine - at 500 calories/bottle, it sabotages me every…
  • Or to take on their honeymoon. That is probably what I would do.
  • You must go to some fancy weddings. I would estimate the plates at $15 - $20 for the weddings that I have been to. If you don't feel comfortable giving him money, then go with a small gift. I get the request for money, though. After paying for the wedding, you have the stress of paying for the honeymoon. Everything is so…
  • I had the best run this morning. It was an amazingly gorgeous day and I had the best pace that I have had in months. On another note, it is spring break here in Austin Texas, and I am a little worried. I am not currently a student, but my Mom, who happens to be my party buddy, works for the school. She will be out the…
  • Wow! That is pretty powerful! Thanks for sharing.
  • Hey Karen! It sucks to slide backwards, but your still here, so you obviously have not given up. Just keep at it!
  • Hey Suzie and Jackie! Yay other runners! I took a break from running to start a weight training program that was very time consuming. It has been a long 9 weeks. I didn't lose any weight, so I am hoping that running will help me start seeing the scale move again.

  • I'm back again, too! I will post my weight when it gets closer
  • I can't believe it has been 5 week already. Congrats everyone!
  • @L_Master I'm impressed! You set a goal and achieved it. Very cool. I quit drinking soda 1.5 years ago. I can not be an occasional soda drinker. Once I start, I can't stop. Sounds live you have a pretty advanced training plan in place. Keep it up!
  • So, I reported a significant gain last week. This week was SO much better. I am down 4.4 pounds from that number. Obviously, there was something going on there. Maybe I had a lot of water weight or something. I don't know, but I am extremely relieved!
  • WhoooHooooo! Good job!
  • Wow. That is dedication!
  • I have been hitting it hard. I have not missed any weight training day. Yesterday was a much needed rest day and then I road the stationary bike today. Wasn't the most intense workout, but at least burned some calories. Tomorrow will be another intense weight training day... the dreaded leg day. Oh man, I am going to be so…
  • I'm glad you are still with us. Keep it going!
