You are so right! I also: Don't try to carry in all the groceries in one trip - make two. Same for getting things in and out of the fridge. Make extra trips. Carry groceries to the car instead of using the cart. Listen to music and dance while I vacuum. Ride the exercise bike during Biggest Loser or Extreme Makeover Weight…

Linda - don't know you well enough to know if you were being a smarty pants  - Do you know you can enter your recipes here and have it calculate calories for you? jb - thanks for the chile relleno recipe. I'll be making that soon. DIL and DS disturbing new on the job front may actually turn out to be good for both…

Ugh It's definitely Monday! Got on the scale yesterday and was at the lowest weight I've seen in 8 years. Today I gained 3 pounds. Yesterday was my "free" day, but I didn't think I did that badly! You would have all had a good laugh last night. At 11:45 pm I was heading up to bed and checked my FitBit - 8035 steps. Oh, I…

DSW carries some Rykas, and Famous Footware may have some too. I bought my Studio D Lows online for Zumba and love them.

I agree with the other ladies. I'm not positive because I didn't sign up for it, but I think if you follow his website plan it's a little different and they may have you go a couple of lows, couple of highs - maybe even a week at a time - in a row. It may have some effect on you wight loss for this week, but it will all…

Good Afternoon! Beautiful day here today. Hoping to get in a bike ride tonight. I've yet to make it to the grocery this week, tho, so that has to come first. To answer a question, my new toy is a Hybrid bike made my Diamondback. So it has some suspension and the seat is big enough to not hurt my behind. I went for a ride…

PS2CR - go to your local HomeDepot or Lowes and buy cedar fencing and cut it into smaller pieces. It's something like $2-3 a board. Surface is rough, but that doesn't hurt the salmon! Way cheaper than buying the boards they actually sell for grilling. Gini

Morning! Thanks for the encouraging words after yesterday's rant. Later in the day, the boss at my temp job came down and told me he needs me long term and wanted to know what my situation was with another position I have pending. (I'm up for a contract job, but the project has been put on hold). I told him that my problem…

So how many carbs do you eat on a high carb day? I think I'm going overboard. summergrl - Thanks for posting the Smart Foods Guide. It's nice to have the quick reference. I think I'll take it to the grocery with me tonight. Some of my choices the past week have probably not been the best, for ex. cream of rice cereal.…

Hi Ladies, Been reading the posts, but didn't take time to reply. You are all so very busy. Crazy weekend for us, a wedding and combined birthday party for the grand kids. Got into some trouble with sugar...but fortunately am back on track with that. Took a test ride on DIL's bike and I think I will buy it from them. Who…

Gin - e It's actually Virginia. I too am having trouble with eating every three hours. It doesn't fit into the work day very well. I had a wedding and birthday party for my grandchildren over the weekend, so it more like two free days. Back on track this morning though and I rode my exercise bike 10 miles last night while…

Happy Friday to you all! Raining here this morning. Hope it gets it out of its system, we have an outdoor wedding for a good friend tomorrow. I have a new dress, long black sleeveless with a high waist. Sexy! I was hoping to be down a few more pounds so that I wouldn't have to wear a belly sucker inner thingy. We'll see…

Hi all! Wednesday is my favorite day of the week. It's the day my DH watches the grandkids. London - 4 and Jenson - 11 months. I always go into work and hour late so that I have some time to play with them as well. Jenson, who was the fastest crawler I have ever seen, started walking this week. I now understand why the…

Welcome to the new gals. This is a very supportive group of ladies. Today is a high carb day for me and I'm starving! Well, I THINK I am. One look at my diary would tell you I've had plenty to eat. I have a snack scheduled in 32 minutes, can you tell I'm anxious? It may or may not be true that carbs make you hungry, maybe…

So today is a high carb day and I'm starving. Well not really, but I THINK I'm hungry. Just went upstairs and got some more water. Going out with some friends after quilt guild tonight. Doesn't really fit into my 5 meal 3 hour plan so I'm not sure what I'll do. I realize that I'm actually used to eating six meals a day.…

Morning Ladies! How's YOUR Monday going? Mine has been a Monday for sure. My software crashed and I lost 1 1/2 hrs of work. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE! Guess I was so involved I forgot. Oh well. Realized I need to be planning my meals a little better. I thought what I brought with me today were good choices, and actually they are,…

Watching Extreme Makeover weight loss and counting my blessings that after many attempts at weight loss over the years, I finally took control of my life ten years ago. I'm on the final leg of this journey now and happy to have you all along for the ride. Busy, but good weekend. Saturday morning Zumba class, then the…

Morning Ladies! Rainy day in Ohio and thankfully, cooler. They said the other day that we had the hottest July ever. I live in a century home, which means no a/c other than in my DH office. Spent lots of time in there. Had a good day yesterday. My food was much better, I went to Zumba (which did not have a/c either so I…

Grill mine on a cedar plank, soaked for a couple of hours in water. Sprinkle with a herb type of seasoning. Top with homemade pesto sauce.

I had a DS 10 years ago. Lost 100+ but never got rid of the last 10lbs. to reach goal. Well, actually I was below goal for a while when the opening to my stomach closed up and I couldn't keep any food down. I had to have a procedure involving a balloon to reopen it. Once that was fixed I put some weight back on. I'm here…

Just got mine yesterday, so I can't really answer you. There is a FitBit group you can join that has lots of good info.

I don't have the book yet, but am trying to follow the plan from the info I've found online. Planning on picking up the book this weekend. I had WLS 10 years ago but never lost the last 10 lbs. I was told to concentrate on protein first, then veggies, fruits and carbs so this is perfect for me. I tried Dukan, slightly…

Good morning Ladies! Day off to a good start. Finally some much needed rain on its way to Ohio. My poor garden is suffering and my veggie crop is not quite what expected. There's nothing like sweet corn shucked in the garden and directly into the pot. But then again, since I'm watching my carbs, it's probably a blessing! I…

Hi all! I've been lurking on this thread for a few days trying to get my motivation in gear. You are all so inspiring! My story - overweight childhood, did WW first time at 16. I am finally back down to my starting weight back then. I had weight loss surgery 10 years ago (BPD-DS) and have more or less maintained a 100lbs…

I used them too. Temporary results - would be great if you need to fit into that special dress. They feel fantastic - all herbie and natural smelling, but the results just weren't there for me. And they aren't cheap.
