Being vertically challenged means less calories! But, more exercise evens the score board! I'm in.

I can do this. Monday-Thursdays no pasta, no red meat, no wine or beer, and no bread with meals unless I am eating a sandwich or it is under my poached eggs at breakfast. Weekends are a different story but only if I walk a minimum of 4 miles each day that I eat more.

Anybody in this group in my age range? I am 58. I have 51/2 pounds to lose. Mostly I am successful at weight control unless I am stressed out by something. So, I've been stressed out since mid October and now I'm 51/2 pounds heavier. My goal is to get back to my daily routine of diet and exercise. I am a walker.

Usually I find the recommendation to be about 300 calories more than what works for me to maintain my weight. If I am walking 4 miles a day for a minimum of 5 days a week (1 hour a day), I find I can consume 1400 calories. In order to lose weight, my number is 900 calories.
