Try needling for stretch marks: owndoc.com Endermologie is supposed to be good for all manner of skin issues too: http://www.realself.com/Endermologie/reviews Both are cheap, non-invasive and pretty much risk-free. Ive done a little needling and am going to try endermologie when I can find the cash. :)

I'm dealing with Crohn's (which is IBS With A Vengeance) primarily through diet. Side-tip: Breathing exercises can work wonders. Try setting aside a few minutes at the beginning and end of every day for them.

Porridge, a piece of fruit and a whole packet of Chocolate Fudge Crunch Creams with hot chocolate.

Nothing wrong with binging, if that's the way you're wired. I'm the same, but chocolate is my nemesis. I tried just buying a (big) bar of whatever at the beginning of week and nibbling a little per day, but it didn't really work. I ended up binging out anyway. So I just accepted that and now counter the calorie overload…

This thread could run and run.

"Well. we mostly agree that eating a diet rich in plant-based and whole grain foods is good, and I also happen to think that meat and dairy are just fine. (Personally, I think grains, even whole grains, tend to be somewhat overrated, and they certainly are processed under any reasonable definition, but I don't think they…

Not really. There's ample evidence to suggest that eating a diet rich in plant-based and whole grain foods (which is primarily what you're left with once you eradicate 'processed') has significant health benefits. Meat and dairy, there seems to be divided opinion on. I haven't seen many suggest that frozen vegetables are…

Give in, and just knock the calories off tomorrow's menu. I'm settling into the routine of having a couple of 'light' days per week (~1000 calories) with surprising ease. Not something I planned; but they defray my 'chocolate binge' days quite nicely.

Find a sport you enjoy.

Funny. Having been on this site a few weeks, the snarky comments from the 'non-clean' eaters seem to outweigh the 'clean' lot by approximately a thousand to one. Maybe it's more a case of you feeling inferior? I'd like to add, I don't eat 'clean' in any way, though am trying to transition to more 'healthful' eating. To…

I'm down to one a day from two. My go-to recipe looks something like this: A big clump of kale (~50-80g) 4-5 cherry tomatoes Blueberries Raspberries Strawberries Apple or pear A sprinkle of goji berries I'm going to try a more whole-green one today, maybe throw in some seeds; as I'm finding I much prefer eating the fruits.

I thought you had to eat them whilst exercising.

If you're cooking it, should be fine.

Have a Nutribullet. Would recommend. Churns up anything, rinses clean. ~£100.
-
Yes. But I wouldn't recommend looking at it.

I meant the thrust of the article was nonsense. Yes, I can see why the sugar may hit the bloodstream quicker than eating whole. Perfectly sensible. But all-natural fruit juices/smoothies are not the Diabetes-causing evil of our age. Refined sugars stuffed in mass-consumed processed foods are. A whole apple may be slightly…
-
Sorry, but that's nonsense. There's millions upon millions of worse things you can eat than fresh fruit and veg; in any form. Do they sate your appetite less than eating them whole? Yes. Should you be conscious of how many calories any smoothies/juices you make contain? Yes. Just like anything else you ingest.

Well, 'twas a Beeb doc, not a propaganda piece by the Anti-Hovis Committee. If you have any counter-evidence beyond glib dismissal I'd be happy to consider it. That almost all processed foods are rife with a huge variety of cheap fillers, preservatives and the like I'd have thought was beyond dispute by any sane soul, but…

Bread can contribute to digestive issues, IMO. I recall watching a documentary where they deconstructed certain foods, bread being one of them. One of the binding agents used was something very similar to wallpaper paste. They simulated a stomach digesting meals, and the one containing this particular form of processed…

The greatest hope seems to be needling. http://owndoc.com/dermarolling/dermarolling-before-and-after-photos-from-our-customers/ My body's a mess of stretch marks. I plan to try this everywhere.

Processed cereals probably have more sugar, and refined sugar at that. Most fruits are around 40-50cals per 100g, so you must be putting in an awful lot of fruit!
-
Nuts and seeds are a great 'healthy' way of making up calories. 25g of almost any = 150-200 calories. If I have a calorie deficit at the end of the day, that's my go-to move. ...Unless I happen to have any chocolate lying around.

Try as many things as possible, in as many different ways as possible; however small the amount. Don't be discouraged if you dislike something, the variety available is huge, and everything has its own unique taste. Don't force it, you may create negative associations. If you eat any 'sauce' type meals (rice, pasta, spag…

The nutribullet and its accompanying cups rinse clean pretty easily (providing you don't leave it in all day).

Trying to transition to 'clean'. I'm in.

I invested in one a couple of months and have been having 1/2 per day since (usually 2). I stuff ~100g of leafy greens in the bottom (usually kale and/or cabbbage-- they're the most plain tasting of what I've tried thus far, plus kale's foul when steamed/cooked IMO). On top of which I throw in ~300g of fruit (minus a few…
