  • I made this recipes with it over the weekend. www.recipetips.com/recipe-cards/t--3076/quinoa-soup.asp I added in some extra seasoning, but it was really tasty. It basically replaced the noodles for a chicken noodle soup. It was really filling and one serving was just under 200 calories.

  • Well, I have always been small in this area and even when I was full of milk nursing my babies I only grew to completely fill out a B cup. I had to learn a long time ago to embrace my small chest and buy padded bras. I'm all kinds of sizes depending on what bra I'm wearing. :glasses:
  • I remember being worried abut 30 and now 40 is around the corner for me. You can friend me if you like. I have two kids and it was definitely harder finding time to workout when they were babies (don't be like me though - I just didn't do it). Now, I usually workout after I put them to bed or include them in my workouts. I…
  • That is a great milestone. That's how I started out on my treadmill and felt the exact same way you did. Congrats!
  • Same height, same goal.
  • This was me after my 2nd baby and I just didn't stop eating and that's why I have found my way to MFP.
  • I lost weight very quickly when breastfeeding my babies, but I know everyone's body is different. You definitely need to make sure you are eating some extra calories and drinking lots of water to keep your milk supply steady. Just be patient with yourself - our bodies do change after having a baby and congrats on your baby!
  • 5'3" here! I will admit I used to fudge my height and try to claim 5'4". I own my 5'3" height now.
  • My husband made a couple of less than supportive comments when I first started MFP. To be honest, who can blame him - I have tried in the past to get into the exercise thing and have not succeeded. He had tried to encourage me and have me join him and I wouldn't do it. I really had to start this on my own, for myself. Now…
  • I'm just using the info on this site so far and I'm losing weight. I'd like to get an HRM though and plan to in the near future. I think it will help me learn to maintain.
  • During the work week, I do it after the kids go to bed around 8:30 to 9:00. I try to work out in the morning on the weekends while the kids eat breakfast and then, weather permitting, fit in a walk or something outside with them during the day.
  • I agree with this statement. My stretch marks have gotten lighter and aren't as prominent now that my stomach is getting smaller, but they are there and are to such a degree that I know I'll never be without them. I got them with my 2nd baby who is also my VBAC baby and my VBAC is a large part of what motivates me to get…
  • I eat my own food and don't join in. I do a lot of the cooking as well, so that I can control that and also give my family healthy meals. If they eat extra, that's on them. I just don't join in. My family is having strawberries and ice cream tonight for a snack. I just had a cup of water.
  • No advice either, but have the same issue. Thankfully, I can leave my desk whenever I need to go. It's just a little embarrassing when my co-workers see me flying down the hall once an hour or so.
