Sorry for the negative rant. I'm done feeling sorry for myself now.

I know the feeling. I took last week off from JM: 30 day shred for various reasons, but managed to get in 2 days of running. Today I feel as gross as I did before I started the whole damn thing. I blame our father for cursing us with his metabolism. I actually went through the house and threw out every piece of candy/ice…

Also, looking at your food diary, you want to make sure you're eating your recommended calories every day. You don't necessarily have to eat back the extra calories from exercise, but you should be striving to reach your initial calorie goal. If not, your body might think it's in starvation mode and try to hold on to that…

MMMmmm.... I love venison burgers! We always have trouble getting the venison ground to stay together because it's so lean, so we grind up bacon and onion with the venison. Not exactly sure if that defeats the purpose of a venison burger's "leanness" (is that even a word?) but it tastes pretty good! I love burgers in…

A travel critic (not sure of the official title), but the guy who goes around the world and then writes articles on the best vacation spots/hotels/cities to see/etc. Getting paid to travel the world? I can't imagine anything better.

Hi Kaysi! Welcome! Just keep at it and you should start to lose. That 4 lbs gained may be muscle or water weight. Looking forward to losing with you! Love, your sister

Welcome Valmarie! It looks like we are on a similar track! I'm at 177lbs. right now (started at 185lbs.) but I'm trying to get down to my driver's license weight of 145 (it's amazing how you can give a weight on there of 30-40 lbs less than what you really are so easily!) and then hopefully my ultimate goal weight of 135…

I could almost be your twin! I'm 30, but I've been told I can definitely pass for 27 (although I tell everyone I'm 25!) SW: 185 CW:177 GW: 145 (and then 130 from there!) I am also a teacher!

We're pretty close! CW: 178 H: 5' 3" (and 3/4!) GW: 145 to start Age: 30

Ha! I love that one! And RARELY do I leave when my students do...and if I am, you better believe I'm taking work home with me to work on after I get dinner made, the kitchen cleaned up and all the other chores/errands that have to get done!

I'm on Day 2 of Level 2 with 5lbs weights. I do it M-F with a run on the weekends. It's HARD at the beginning of the level and the first week you'll be in some pain (if you're doing it right!) but it does get easier! I was just beginning to think Jillian isn't that bad at the end of Level 1 and then yesterday I started…
-
I'm actually wondering the same thing....I just started level 2 tonight and it seems a lot higher intensity than level 1. Jillian also mentions during the workout that you're burning twice as many calories as level 1. Any thoughts?

@Suzieqt- I think you look like Kate Beckinsale. @Kacie-Ginnifer Goodwin

I was told Sarah Michelle Gellar back in high school, but I'm pretty sure that guy just wanted to get in my pants! :o)

What about me? Who do I look like? :o)

This is Stella. She is a Shep/Husky/Lab mix that sheds year-round and believes she is a lap dog (mind you, she's 60lbs!) We adopted Stella almost 7 years ago from a rescue shelter and can't imagine life without her. She LOVES her daddy to death and is always trying to climb on top of him when he allows it smothering him…

I just started the 30 Day Shred (just finished Day 4) and I agree that my muscles have never been so sore!! I'm sure if I do the 30 days consecutively, I'll probably quit out of boredom so I've decided to do JM Shred Mon-Fri, do my usual run on Saturday and Sunday, or, if I really need it, use Sunday as my rest day (maybe…
