Just ran my first 5K last Sunday. It was everything I hoped for. Just relax, and run your race, just like your training. Wait.. What? Isn't that WHY we work out? :)))) Yeah, I eat them. I try to leave a little defect, but I eat most of them anyway. Although I only eat the cardio, I don't add in strength training calories.
