I had a kid who was out selling Candy Bar's door to door, and I was out going out for a walk and he sarcasticly yelled acrosses the street at me, Buy my candy bars, you know you would reather do that than take a walk. Just made me want to walk more so I could lose the weight.

I have a little note book that I have with me at the gym. I write the time, distance, and calories burned for all equipment that has counters. of course you never know if the one at the gym is accurate or not either. I tend to go low on exercise calories. MHO. :) Also you can change the calories in the data base.

I've gone through the same things. I found that this site helps me keep track of myself. Really helps to know where I am calorie wise during the day, doesn't always keep me from eating more than I should, only I can do that, but I really like this site.

Good Luck! It's hard working odd hours, done a bit myself. I hope you do well with your nutrition plan. Add me if you want some body to chat with. :)

Wow that sounds very encouraging! Keep up the hard work.

Yeah I am trying to loose that last 10 or 11 pounds too. I know what to do, just getting to it is hard. Sounds like you will get there too!
-
Sounds like an ultra marathon to me. there is lots of walking also. Stick with 5Ks for your first run.
-
Well first thing is a 5K is 3.1 miles, a Marathon is 26.2 miles. It depends on how fast you can run a mile and how long you can run for. 5K 30 min maybe, Marathon 3-6 hours. Enjoy!

have you heard about Active.com? They have a lot of good articles about running and how to run in the winter. My favorite running site.

I lost 130 pounds, it took me a long time to accept that I was slim. I still have the belly fat, the first to come and the last to go, but I am working on it and really I just had to say to myself. You are in so much better shape now. It's something I work on all the time, and it's easier now 2 + years down the road.

I joined a wellness center. It's a gym but their thing is on health, not muscles. I have lost a lot of weight and don't feel intimidated going in and not lifting as much as the guy next to me. :) What really helped me the most was always having a goal to work toward. For me it is runs, I pick a race and train for it. You…

Congratulations, you are doing great. Good nutrition, cardio and exercise, and consistency will get you where you want to be. Keep up the hard work.

Hey Brit, good nutrition, exercise and consistency will get you to where you want to be. You can do it!

I've done 4 and everyone was a challenge, you have every right to be proud and makes me wonder if the couple were even runners. You keep up the hard work, remember these knuckleheads when your having a hard run, great inspirations.

I listened to Instant Karma October 9th. haha

Hello just wanted to say don't get down on yourself to hard. You just started and you need to practice the good way of eating and exercising. I was told it takes 21 days to learn a good habit. You can do it. I'm not just saying that because I did the same thing you are trying to do (130 lb and kept it off for a year now).…

Your on the right track. Good nutrition, exercise and consistency is what you need. You'll do great.
