Today is a new day! Do you have plans for successful eating today? Maybe a walk? It is very rainy here and snow is on the way. I am thinking of going to the gym today. I hope you get out to do something today!

PaytraB. How was your day today? I weighed all my food today! I am amazed at the portions I have been eating! I was thinking I would be able to afford a snack tonight but if I want a slight caloric deficit, I should not plan on any. Thanks for the comments about weighing! I will give myself a gold star for today. :)

nev888 …awesome idea! I'm going to get a calendar set up right now and do the same thing! I don't think it is a silly idea at all! Good luck…hopefully more people will join in!

I like your ideas! How about we post our "New Month Resolution(s)" instead of New YEAR resolutions! We list our goal(s) and post our progress towards that goal? For example: My main problem is that I don't weigh my food. I understand it is very important to do so but I have not done it with any consistency. So my goal…

I have more energy in the Am than the PM. So I set my alarm for 4:45 and try to be out the door in 20min or so. I walk 3 miles or an hour...whichever comes first. Anyway, I exercise in the morning because of two reasons: 1. I walk right outside so I can't talk myself out of it, and 2. I am usually too tired in the evening…

My husband grills about 5+lbs of chicken thighs and legs for the week. I usually take one or two pieces to work with me for lunch with an apple.

I think the only thing you need to cut out would be "seconds". Don't make that second trip through the food line! :D

Yes...I log lawn mowing. My lawn takes at least an hour to mow and I work up a pretty good sweat on warm days. It is exercise!

Hello Everyone, I am 52 years old, married and have 2 sons 23 and 20. Both of my sons are in college right now and they are in and out of the house. More often out of the house, so I am a part-time empty-nester. Finally got family matters to a reasonable "happy place" and can now concentrate on me. Oh, and my two dogs Kobe…

I have not thought about it as calories per day. I think that is a great idea. I have been walking 3 miles in the morning and possibly some at lunchtime. So my aim was to workout at least 4 days a week...but I am ready to change that to burning a certain amount of calories!!!!

57 min of brisk walking in the morning!

Make progress on losing my belly fat! I hate it!!!!!

I had a bad rotator cuff once and I went to the chiropractor for about 4 weeks or so. He gave me some exercises for it. I realize that if you can"t get an MRI you probably can't see a chiropractor as well. But I don't think surgery is a must. I don't know if I would recommend lifting until your shoulder is better.

Hope things are okay. We can add the 5 each day...it will be a killer, though. Take care and thanks for checking in.
