I did my first 5k at 245 pounds. Unfortunately it took me an hour and a half because even though my friend and I were the same weight, she couldn't keep up and I kept having to slow down.

I'm glad you realized this is a problem. You might want to get these things checked: 1) Iron 2) Thyroid 3) Vitamin D (unrelated but good to know) as well as a standard CBC blood count for good measure.

I was looking up the omni diet and this is kind of scary: Off-limits: Dairy Grains (except for quinoa, buckwheat, and amaranth in small amounts) and gluten Sugar and simple carbohydrates Soy Corn Artificial sweeteners (except for stevia in small amounts) Have you considered trying a less restrictive diet? Cutting calories…

I have a big bone structure so it's not that obvious when I lose weight. My smallest pant size at my height will always be a 12. When I was at my heaviest (265 pounds), people were always really surprised and thought I weighed much less.

Oh man am I saving this one. <3

The bigger you are, the quicker your weight will initially drop. I lost 12.5 pounds in my first two weeks. That's when it stopped and I started losing weight at a normal pace.

This is a tough one because if she's like me, she would just keep grabbing more and more baggies. :p

Nothing. My boobs have gotten smaller but they were ugly and saggy anyways when I was bigger so I don't really miss them.

I feel you there. You don't want to go cold turkey since you will be absolutely miserable and more likely to fail (I speak from experience). Why don't you start with eating ice cream that has less sugar in it? Or ones with Splenda? That way you can start to taper off and you still have that "sweet treat" to keep you from…

Yeah, only buying dry goods is a deal breaker for me. I'd rather just get grocery delivery through Safeway or something.

I knocked over a display of glass figurines with my butt at Macy's. I put as many back as possible and pretty much ran out the front door before anyone noticed.

I heard that someone ate a McDonald's burger once and grew a third ear.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll read them when I have a bit more time. I do know that my weight gain is likely causing this issue. Of course I'm trying to lose weight but it's difficult because of the pain. Kind of a catch 22.

Soda is general is very bad for your teeth. Be careful with how much you drink. I was an avid soda drinker and when I saw my dentist, I wore off so much of my enamel that my teeth literally sounded "crunchy" when she scraped them. She said that I'm actually wearing holes in my teeth because of it. Scary stuff. If you do…

I'd probably have that issue if it wasn't for the fact I weight train. I've lost a lot of weight in my legs but they are relatively smooth because of the muscle I have built up. Honestly, your legs will probably just smooth out over time but building up muscle is the best way to get rid of it.

Same here. My heart rate goes up to 170 sometimes and my resting heart rate is a bit high. At my heaviest, my heart rate was in the 90s resting. Now that I've gotten more fit, it's in the 70s,

When I was in school in the IT program, I had a guy say he wasn't interested in me because I wasn't feminine enough. Keep in mind I wear makeup and girlie clothes so it was just the fact I was a woman working in IT.

Ohh, my boyfriend does this and it drives me nuts. He cooks fresh green beans and douses them with a ton of butter and salt. Like, you literally pour out this butter/salt soup from the bottom of the pan. WHY??

Plus, who wants to eat mushy veggies?
-
Veggies are only bad if you don't eat them.

I only eat free range donuts.

What kind of bugs? I heard mosquitoes HATE orange scented anything.

It's taken me years to get good at this stuff because like you, social anxiety was something I suffered with. Your story is actually so close to mine it's scary. I went on an antidepressant that caused me to gain weight, lack all emotions but anger, shy away from everybody, and what's worse is that it caused a memory issue…

Geez, at least buy me dinner first. I don't make a sandwich for just ANYBODY.

I make a killer PB&J.

Yeah, this X 1000. There's plenty of low calorie recipes online as well. I did these two recently: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1070721-easy-black-bean-burgers http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1331440-carrot-fries-seriously-good

People that leave their phones in the middle of the floor when I'm in an aerobics class. I've almost stepped on a few of them and of course it would be MY fault for not watching where I'm going.

This. I'm thankful I can complete a mile without dying.

Are you sure you are only eating 1200 calories? If you are getting full, perhaps you are eating more than you think. I think pretty much everyone on this forum will agree that it's easy to underestimate the calories you are eating (who eats a 1/4 cup of ice cream? Really?). You might not have much in there but it would be…
