How about working out with a Fitness Blender video on YouTube? They are free and there are many to choose from--as well as other good workout videos. That way, you are not always doing the same thing. As far as late night snacking--all you need to do is to not do it one or two days in a row and then it will be easier to…

Looking good! Keep doing what you're doing : )

Keep going! I'm back and I've made it to day 4. You can do this : )

Your smile says it all! Keep up the exercise : )

You look terrific. That took dedication and it sounds like you are still dedicated. You have reminded me to suck it up and quit whining about these last 5 pounds.

Nothing wrong with feeling good about yourself but wanting to feel even better! You sound like you are happy with yourself which is terrific. However if you are "on MFP all the time" you are looking for something--probably to reassure yourself that you are healthy or looking for some motivation to feel even better by…

Welcome to MFP! It takes courage to start and courage to try again. Good job! I thought I would NEVER keep a food journal but MFP has helped me "see" what I was eating and boy that helped. I lost 40 pounds on my own before joining MFP. I lost 3 with MFP and have 7 more to go.

Keep going. This site has helped me too! I never thought I would write down what I ate every day, even though that is what everything I read said would help the most. Now I write it all down, good or bad, and that has helped me "see" when I am doing to my insides. My diet has gotten better, but is not perfect. My husband…

Glad that you are still here! I was in a car accident 2 and 1/2 years ago. My neck vertebrae where shifted over as well, soft tissue damage on both sides of my back. But after working with a chiropractor, physical therapist, two neurologists, and a speech therapist, I am recovered about 90%. I got back to running a year…

Some background so you know where the thoughts are originating: I am 48, still have my period but do not have cramps anymore. I had debilitating cramps for about three years until my college roommate told me I needed to get on the pill. I did and the cramps went away. I used to think that staying in bed curled up in a ball…

The debate rages on between benefits of steady elevated heart rate during exercise and interval training. What works with exercise is doing something you enjoy because then you will do it. For example, i don't really like running but I run because I feel great when I am finished with my 5-8 miles and a sprint at the end.…

WOW! You did make a change. Looks great! Keep going with whatever you are doing because it is working.

Yesterday I played tennis with three men for two hours. They were piles of sweat and had to keep taking breaks to rest and drink water. I had some water after about an hour and at the end and waited patiently during the breaks because I am getting in shape!

I add white beans to mine.

Sometimes I type in what I am thinking about having for dinner or a snack to see what it will do to my totals. If the totals go over, then I skip it. I have been doing MFP for a month now and was very surprised to learn how many calories I was eating per day. It helps me with portion control.

Well, not keeping track of I ate led me to be 50 pounds overweight. So, sometimes I don't feel like keeping track. But then I make myself care and I feel much better. This quote that I read somewhere online (or was it MFP) really helps me: being overweight is a challenge; losing weight is a challenge; maintaining weight is…

Looking good! All that hard work shows. Keep going! You can do it--look at what you have done so far.

Did a 5K race with my 14 year old son today. We ran the whole way (most people started walking at the bottom of the first hill) and I was not winded after the two hills. Bonus: ordered a size M shirt and it fit.

I was in a bad car accident 2 and 1/2 years ago. I gained weight because I slept all the time (so concussion could heal) but kept eating. I did not pay attention to what I was eating. I could not walk more than 1/4 mile without feeling tired. SLOWLY I was able to increase how far I walked. It took me a whole year to be…

Thank you for sharing. Your smile is wonderful and you look great!

What has helped me is to make sure I get dressed every day in real clothes (after my workout of course) and do my hair and put on some mascara. i saw myself in the mirror one day in a ponytail and hoodie and I decided it was a slippery slope (especially since I was at work and it was not the first day of that look). My…

Yes! I belong to a mom's group and my goal is to no longer be the biggest mom in the group. It is a challenge since these ladies are all pretty fit. I have not told anyone about this, but it motivates me so I don't see the harm. They are all supportive of my new lifestyle and weight loss and have no idea that I am…

5'8" CW: 142 Size 8 in most pants, medium tops, although sometimes tops are an inch or two short as I think I have a longer torso. I carry weight in my hips, so I can fit into a size 6 dress. Whoohoo!

SW: 187 I'm in! I have lost 41 pounds so far and am 3 sizes down. I have purchased one pair of pants two sizes down from where I started and they are baggy. I told myself (and my husband) that when I have lost a total of 50, I am buying all new clothes. Almost there! SW: 184 CW: 143 GW: 138 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month…

Go online for vegan recipes. What about tofurky sausages and veggie burgers? There are also veggie chicken patties and veggie beef. What about a veggie pizza with vegan cheese? These things taste different than what you are used to eating but I gave up meat/dairy 4 years ago and never looked back. Breakfast: Egg white…

Two more cents: If someone calls you a name (who still does that?) SMILE and say "Thank you. I always thought ____ was funny, cute, handsome, smart" whatever. Fill in the blank with what you need to hear that day. It confuses people. If you can't say it out loud, at least think it. They are calling you names so no one…

This may not help, but believe me you are going to rock your high school reunion! You are working on yourself which is such an accomplishment. I look back at my high school pictures (when I thought i was fat--at least larger than all of the other girls). Guess what? I was thin and athletic. My rear end was NOT huge as I so…

Thank you for your post. While I was looking for motivational quotes, I found this and it has really helped me. "Being overweight is a challenge. Losing weight is a challenge. Maintaining your weight is a challenge. Pick your challenge." I have to talk myself into exercising every day. I finally wrote a note to myself…

I don't call them "bad diet days." I call them splurges and/or living. What is the point of running 5-7 miles a day, lifting weights, and watching what I eat most of the time (1500-1700 calories per day) if I can't eat a chocolate chip cookie? There are certain times of the month that having some chocolate or whatever…
