You don't need to reduce your carbs to 100. You don't have to deprive yourself of anything. As long as you keep your calories to what amount you are allowed per day you should be fine. Per my dietician (I am type 2 diabetic) I'm allowed to eat 3 main meals a day allowed 45 carbs per meal, and 2 snacks a day of 30 carbs…

You can do it. I'm type 2 and I have lost 53 lbs since last June. My blood sugar is now totally in control and I feel so much better not to mention I look better too. :p I've gone from being obese to within the normal weight range and it really hasn't been hard with the help of MFP. Good luck.

I am proud that I have lost 47 pounds since June and now can fit into a size 10 jeans. I don`t remember ever wearing this size as an adult.

I eat three meals with an allowance of 45 carbs and 3 snacks, mid afternoon, evening snack and an additional snack of almonds that I munch on throughout the day. For my snacks I limit to 15 carbs. I do this because I find that I never get too hungry for any one meal. I try to eat as close to1300 calories that I can.

Usually a fruit like nectarine or cherries and string cheese. I have 3 snacks a day 1 mid afternoon, an evening snack before 8 p.m. and snack on almonds throughout the day.
