@mitch16 I worked briefly with one a couple of years ago, but times being what they are my finances and insurance won't allow for me to see one now. I am on my own, so am hoping to find solid resources online.

At least 20K/day so I can eat the way I want.
-
@PAV8888 Thanks! Also, at 5'2" I just need to get more steps to equal a similar burn for someone taller.

Greek yogurt with nut butters and cocoa or pb2, sweetened w/ truvia. Pb2 oatmeal sweetened with truvia, with pb and Choc chips melted on top.
-
You can always make your own with sugar free sweeteners.

I walked/hiked/dieted away 150lbs. If you only have a small amount of body fat to get rid of, keep walking and hiking, stay on top of your caloric intake, and do strength/resistance training to help with recomposition and hiking skills.
-
A) it's not necessary to jump start, just be at a deficit, and B) I prefer to eat rather than drink my cals, especially now that they are pretty limited.
-
I eat lightly during the day so I can eat more in the evenings. I also eat lighter during the week to eat more on weekends. As long as you don't cut too hard or long, it's fine. I have found, however long, hard banking can lead to bingeing and/or weight loss, especially when I am unsure how many calories I will burn on a…

As I said, mileage may vary. :) I don't personally see 10K as particularly active, though several sites list it as the minimum number of steps for that level.

Adding a link to a helpful site that compares several TDEE algorithms. http://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/. FWIW, my own data shows the levels roughly correlate to MFP's levels as follows, though YMMV: Sedentary on both is worth about 5K steps. Rabbit's Slightly Active/MFP's Lightly Active is 10K. Rabbit's Moderately Active and…

@LivingtheLeanDream Ruthee, sorry the formatting screwed up. The numbers on the far right are for banking days. The higher numbers are the maintenance numbers. I lost a ton of muscle dropping 150lbs. It seems like the Mifflin-St. Jeor algorithm for TDEE is about right according to my personal data. Am going to try upping…

Ruthee, I'm trying to head in a similar direction, though I find it a bit tricky with the compulsive eating. Hoping I get there one day!!

I go through pots of erythritol per week. No weight gain from it, but as with many artificial sweeteners too much on any given day can make me feel bloated. (Xylitol bothers me far more that way, though. Just a pack of gum over a day leaves me in agony and reaching for the Gas-X.) As for Halo Top, some flavors are better…

I get at least 100g of protein on most days, and my diary is open: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/CoachJen71
-
@RunRutheeRun , what kind of steps and exercise are you doing these days?
-
@steveko89 I'm not really technically oriented. Is there a way to import old data, or do I have to enter all the old weights and cals one at a time?
-
Yep. Sorry that I couldn't format it better. MFP insisted on squooshing it all together!
-
Hyponatremia is a possibility. You should get everyone a blood level after drinking water.
-
I can't drink water first thing on an empty stomach. Is it happening to you all day or on an empty stomach?

I make yogurt "frosting" for 100-200 cals. (cocoa plus pb2 or nutella is higher in cals, but oh so yummy!) Put 15g Truvia powder and 1 tsp water in a pyrex custard dish. Microwave for 30 seconds, if still grainy zap 30 more seconds. Whisk in up to 10g nut butter of your choice (15 if using nutella), plus a sprinkle of…

I eat a lot of meals that size or smaller. My diary is open, if you are interested: https://myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/CoachJen71

For me, it's the bloating that keep making my waistline 2 or more inches larger that bugs me, but since I'm not willing to ax the foods that are causing it, I am living with it. If your plan is right for you and you work it faithfully, the weight will come off, just not always when you want it to. :)
-
@kwiris0328 You can do this. I know it's tough because it seems like a long haul, but the time is going to pass anyway so we might as well put it to good use, right? Mini goals are a great way to break up the time, and you've picked a super one. But if it doesn't quite work out as you planned, it's all good as long as…

I think between the vagueness of what constitutes each activity level for MFP and other calculators and the wide range of TDEEs due just to genetics, it's no wonder some people are frustrated by seeing other people's numbers. (I am always a bit bummed to see hubby's numbers after we hiked the exact same freaking trail!…

There's a reason why so many of us are cardio queens. ;)
