You may be more active than you think, or you have a high metabolism, because generally speaking we smaller ladies have relatively low sedentary cals. (Sedentary being under 4K steps. To get 1500 maintenance cals at 120lbs, I have to get at least 12.5K steps in.)

Yah, flipped some numbers!! Lol

Post-menopausal and trying to find my maintenance cals. The last time I switched to maintenance, my Fitbit was overstating my activity by about 300 cals. (Whoever heard of burning 70-100 cals for 15 minutes of reading my phone while walking up and down a hallway?) First my daily weigh-ins were up a few pounds, but the…

Chris, I am right there on the stress train with you. Had a major eat and chase my fork day yesterday, to the tune of 30K steps. And I wonder why my house is a mess, my school work unprepared, and my body is so skinny fat! I am also starting to learn those weight stability lessons, but I haven't learned to trust them or…

Just coming back from dropping Iain off at college. Parents got to eat "free" in the dining hall. You remember college cafs, right? The place where some of us gained the Freshman FifTY? Waffle bar, take out bar, taco bar, Asian bar, Panini bar, cookie bar, ice cream bar. Etc etc. I visited the salad bar and found some…

What a rough week! I am so sorry things didn't work out, and hope your own liver issue isn't serious. It is totally understandable that you went over on cals, but I am glad you were able to care for yourself with exercise. You get big points for that! *hugs*

Wow! Who made her the boss of you?! :# I am so sorry that happened to you. *hugs* Please try to let it go and do what you already know is best for you. I hope your pain eases up. I have arthritis and understand about living with chronic pain.

I am right there with you!

I bought wide, but I either needed to go wider if possible or a up a half size for a bit more room. Otherwise, I have really liked these shoes.

Been years since I was out on a bike. Used to ride all the time as a kid! I can fit so much exercise in right now because I am not working. Once school starts back, I will go back to strength workouts at 4am, steps during school, walking or elliptical/treadmill after school for a couple of hours to keep my heart strong for…

I would kill for those legs. No loose skin dripping with a thick layer of fat. Just nice and healthy looking!!

For walking, I chose New Balance Vazee Urge v1 in wide. Lower heel, more arch support, and room for my bunions, which hate raised heels. I hike in Adidas trail runners because the higher heels on my hiking boots kill my bunions.

Weight loss looks like uneven steps on a graph, not a smooth downward line. The body lets go of weight, but not in an orderly and predictable fashion.
-
Thanks, Lor! I could definitely do that, but it's been hard squeezing in strength and flexibility workouts on top of 25K steps, which takes me most of the day to get. I have lost muscle from skipping those workouts, so really need to shift my focus. I used to have legs like Mary Lou Retton, but now my thighs look like they…

There is too much sodium in canned tuna. Feed kitty meat based cat food.

It doesn't happen to everyone. Lots of people find it works fine for them. Let it get to know you for a couple of weeks, weigh and log your food carefully, and see what effect it has on your weight in about a month. Use something like trendweight.com to keep an eye on changes.

Making milk takes calories. You are fighting biology if you cut back too much. Bret may not have factored nursing moms into his equation. I loved nursing. Dropped weight and got to eat more. B)

Nut butter or PB2 and Fiber One or Grapenuts. (Dark cocoa powder is also good!)
