  • Good morning everyone! Single, 30 year old marketing professional here. I have done some dating, but not much...had two pretty bad experiences with online dating last year, so am having a hard time getting back into it. Confidence is a major issue for me...I have tons of it in terms of my work life, but not so much in the…
  • I started in the high 300's and am now in the low 300's. I try to stick to about 1500-1600 a day. MFP says my daily calorie intake should be around 1750 for my height/weight but I feel satisfied on 1500-1600 and have been consistently losing by doing that.
  • Nope, born and raised in York! My username is a combo of my first and middle names :)
  • I am also from York, PA! Best of luck to you.
  • Zumba has changed my life! I've only ever taken actual classes and I would encourage anyone to do so if you have the opportunity. I've been doing it for over a year and that is the longest I've ever been able to stick with any kind of exercise program. The hard part is sticking with it...I will admit that it is difficult…
  • Hi! I'm Erin and I live in York, PA, which is about an hour north of Baltimore and close to Amish Country in Lancaster. I have a lot of friends living in New England so I am often traveling through CT and MA!
  • You know how there are times when you can just feel someone's eyes on you? I was absolutely not staring at her. I glanced down a few times and she was still staring.
  • I never said that I didn't smile...in fact, I did. I was quite friendly about it.
  • My diary is viewable by friends only. I have only been using MFP for a few months but have had a few instances where a friend made comments about what I ate. And while I understand that her comments were probably coming from a place of support and concern, I don't think they are helpful or motivating. I look at a lot of…
  • Welcome! I live in York, PA...just about an hour north of Baltimore. I went to grad school in Baltimore and it is a great city...I hope it feels like home soon! Best of luck with MFP and achieving your goals!
  • LOL...my mom too! I was glad at least someone could see it besides me!
  • You have a lot to be proud of! What an accomplishment! :)
  • I wasn't a fan of Greek yogurt at first either...I think it is an acquired taste. I tried a bunch of brands but my favorite is Fage Total 2% or 0%. They are plain yogurt and come with a little mix-in on the side...like honey, peach, strawberry, cherry-pomegranate, etc. A lot of people seem to like Chobani greek yogurt as…
  • I'm glad you asked this question! I have been seriously considering getting a HRM. I want it mainly to determine calories burned during exercise. Question for those of you who have one...do you feel that they capture your calorie burn accurately?
  • Quinoa is a GREAT source of protein. Greek yogurt is fantastic too, if you eat milk products. Nut butters are also good. I'm not a vegetarian, but I try to eat as little meat as possible and so I try to supplement with these items when I can.
  • I have experienced this too and was told that the itchiness/tingling feeling is from increased circulation in the legs. It usually subsides after awhile but definitely is uncomfortable!
