Sounds like you have a good one! Hold on to him-- there are so few of them left!!

I already buzzkilled myself lol! It was a "healthier" lighter bag. The whole bag was 425-- which i was eating thinking 170.

In all honesty, it does make me a little excited to find the error. I couldn't figure out why I hadn't lost in the past few weeks. Now, I know and can fix it!

I love it toooo! I can make it healthier/lower calories. I just thought I found the diamond in the rough lol because it was lightly sweetened and so convenient. And there was so much. I could munch for a long time.

He is Chinese and mainly eats Asian foods-- I'm not sure oatmeal, bananas and cottage cheese will be his jam. He could definitely eyeball some protein, rice, and veggies. He knows to watch his sauces a bit because they can add up.

Thanks! He is more of a "spaz lifter" lol where he just rolls up to equipment and does something like a hiit workout with no breaks in between. He does often over eat at dinner time but I think he is just maintaining. He has maybe 10lbs to lose. I actually think he could stand to do a little bulk then lean out in the…

@psuLemon is that Chia Seed Pudding? I may have to dust the old keto off and give it a try just for this ;) .

I lived in Peru for a year and was a vegetarian while I was there because I wasn't used to fresh meat hanging in the market and couldn't stomach buying meat. If other people cooked it for me, I totally ate it and didn't care. But there was something about seeing the meat hanging with flies all around.... I got my protein…

I definitely did. I think I did the coffee more because it felt like a treat and I really didn't know else what to have and heavy whipping cream in coffee is heaven. But that was like 300 of my calories a day that I could have been eating. I was also super strick on the net 20 carbs, when I might have done better starting…

It was fun for me for like 2 weeks because I ate mainly fast food, but it brought out some of my binge tendancies. So when I would slip and eat something before the one meal, I would still realllllly want my big meal at the end of the day. It just turned into me trying to wait to eat, not doing so, then wanting big meals…

I did Keto a couple years ago when it was crazy popular. I remember that I stayed hungry and constantly had to worry about my electrolytes. I was swimming in butter and bullet proof coffee and it just never had that same "full" affect that people said it did. Nor did my cravings ever go away-- in fact, it made me more…

If you have recently added exercise, it may take some time to see the scale move because your body retains water to recover muscles-- especially when you first begin. I know the first 6lb whoosh is fun on the first week, but it is not guaranteed - which sucks when you are really looking forward to that initial loss. But…

I think I notice 10lbs of weight gain more than I do of a loss. Since I put on 10lbs during Covid, I'll tell you where I notice it. 1) My bra's. At the end of the day, I am dying to get it off even more than usual. 2) My face. Getting a cute acceptable selfie is harder than it was just 10lbs ago. 3) My pants-- particularly…

Yes! This 90's dance video, along with the 2000's, has been my jam lately. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM9IXoejwC4 Edit: Posted before I realized this thread was 12 pages long! Sorry if it is a repeat! Excited to try some of these!

These are helpful, thanks! I started loosely doing this a couple weeks ago, but I haven't made it past the initial scale swings to know I am actually making progress or not--which made me a little nervous.

Great advice! I've been doing the same with food. I might power through some plain-ish meals (your typical chicken and broccoli) but at least once a day I have a side dish or meal that I really look forward to. Tonight, I made chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries. Sometimes, I'll go for the chicken and broccoli with a…

Love this!!! Congrats on your progress!

... The sad moment when I realize that I definitely did eat 834 calories over maintenance daily for the past 6 weeks. :#

I've been struggling all year but somehow maintaining. When all this stuff hit, I lost my job but was doing well. Extreme cutbacks made me a very careful spender which meant eating healthier meals at home. Then, by a miracle, I got a new job and go to the office everyday. Then I started spending money and eating allllll…

Thanks! I really like these Ideas. I do play the guitar, but it's been a while since I've played. And I've been wanting to read more!

Now having listened to her for a while... I agree. I'm over it because it just seems to be all about Corrine. She's God's gift to the universe, and much of her reasons are "stop it cause I said so and that is bullsh*t thinking." I liked that she addressed the mental side of weight loss. But it's hard to keep listening to…

March Update: Me and this guy are dating now.

I highly recommend the podcast "Losing 100lbs with Phit n Phat" it's helpful and not overwhelming. You don't have to cut out whole food groups, sugar, salt, fat or carbs to lose weight... do things that you KNOW you can do so that you build up your confidence in yourself and your ability to do this. You really can do this!

I feel like people don't talk about water retention due to working out that much. I've lost weight without working out, while working out a little and while working out like a crazy. My weight loss was the most linear when I didn't work out. When I "restart" I always have to wait about 3 weeks (after an initial loss)…
-
I'd ask about your change in exercise.... I'm notorious for gaining water weight when I work out really hard. Sometimes if I fall off track for a little while and then get back on, it takes me 3-4 weeks before I see a loss on the scale. When you work out, your muscles need water to repair themselves. I wouldn't start…

I plan it until I'm ready to level up and cut it out. Being at peace with food is such a great thing... and it's really encouraging to me when I can just casually say... ya know what.. I'm good on that today. Edit to say: Not cut it out completely or forever. Just when I no longer want it. Sometimes I think just saying "I…

Oh man! I forgot about this recipe. It was the very first way I learned to make chicken-- I didn't know how else to do it for years! I'll have to try it again.

Exactly. A cup of coffee.... something. He's clearly not afraid to call me up and chat all the time... grabbing a cup of coffee wouldn't be that huge of a leap.
