I'm 5'4 and my goal is 132. It was 145 originally but 132 would be AMAZING. I'm fairly muscular and strong boned, so I can't imagine going under 130, but we'll see.

Wow so much amazing advice here! Marking this thread for later, for sure.

This is what I have as well when I have time to cook. So delicious and filling! When there is less time or I don't feel like cooking, either a bowl of multigrain Cheerios (with full fat milk, I use just a little and I find it helps me not to sugar crash later), or today - just a delicious non-fat latte from Starbucks while…

I'm sorry that you feel so discouraged:( This is such a hard process, and (as we all know) - it sucks to have weight issues!!! You are on the right track though - keep your chin up and keep going in the right direction. You'll get there. :)

I understand that feeling of hiking with friends and being so out of shape compared to the rest! I'm 37, looking to lose 50lbs. Feel free to add me if you would like - we can motivate one another!

I'm in! Anyone is welcome to add me as well. I am determined to log every day and learn from my past mistakes. This time is different!

Hey! I'm 37 too and also have a little boy. I just joined last week and have 50 pounds to lose. Friend me if you would like, maybe we can motivate one another. I have been the same with starting, losing 10-15lbs, then stopping and gaining it back twice as fast. This is my fourth or fifth time "starting" in the past three…

I will happily eat all of the red beets and sea urchin that no one else seems to want:) Uni is the best! I was thinking more about this question while grocery shopping this morning and I do have some more definite NO's - diet food! Any of those diet ice cream sandwiches, cookies, baked chips, things like that. They trick…

Yes! It is hard! I need to lose 50, so I am right there with you. I have been around this block, losing and gaining the same 10/15 pounds many times in the past few years. This time it is different. I have spent a lot of time thinking about what went wrong last time and making different plans. We can do this!

Never margarine, only butter. As long as I stay within my calorie range, I'm not concerned with fat at all. So, in moderation, I use butter, coconut oil, olive oil and animal fat (mostly duck fat).

Low carb veggies, roasted in the oven, are fantastic. I love brussel sprouts (not totally sure of their carb content though), broccoli, cauliflower and kale this way. Cauliflower makes an awesome low carb substitute for mashed potatoes and rice. Stir fries with no rice or noodles are awesome, or you could get a spiralizer…

I don't have many absolute no's, but I definitely can't have potato chips or any kind of cake or doughnut in my house. I know I wouldn't be satisfied with a reasonable portion of those. Some changes I made though: - swapped out half and half cream for black coffee (still getting used to that one, but I hate milk in coffee)…

This makes me so sad!

Quesadilla with cheddar and refried beans, and some amazing salsa from the farmer's market. I'm hungry now though and still 200 calories under my goal for the day.

What an amazing accomplishment, congratulations!! Also, I LOVE your wedding pictures, both the before and the after!

Wow your story sounds so much like mine! I am a momma to a little boy too, and am also GOING to lose 50lbs. And it will be fantastic! I went camping with some girlfriends this weekend and everyone was amazing and brought along super healthy meals to share, but when the potato chips and s'mores were passed around, I…
