Hey, I'm 3 months post partum with a preemie, but gained enough during my short prgnancy anyway. Am trying to lose 40 odd pounds... Feel free to add me!

After months and months of not finding any motivation, I finally managed to go out and watch what I eat and drink! Baby steps, i'm back!

I've had a fitbit for about 5 months and the band broke after 3 months. You can buy a new one, but the don't seem to lastvery long. Now, the fitbit recently started to play up and stop charging and I cannot use it at all! I'd stay away from fitbits if I was you!

I've made myself a really nice salad these days, and it's very very high in protein and all of it can be unprocessed. I do it with chicken, but you can obviously substitute with tuna or salmon: Lentils red kidney beans baby spinach cucumber radishes tomatoes chicken/salmon/tuna dressing, ie olive oil & balsamico or…

Changing from having 3 meals to regularly eating every 3 hours,ie 5 meals a day. The meals are smaller, but I'm never feeling extremely hungry and never really crave anything anymore. i prepare my plan in advance so I don't get caught out eating something that doesn't fit in my diary.

Sounds awesome. Will be my dinner next week!

YES! Portioncontrol! I think the buffet will be the hardest. Take a small starter plate and load it with salad leaves so that nothing else will fit on it. Repeat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seriously though just don't go back for seconds, but enjoy your holiday!

That sounds like a lot, but if you feel well then listen to your body. The thing is, even if you're over hydrated, you will have similar symptoms to dehydration, so a dry mouth, head ache etc, I assume you could get the impression that you're thirsty, even though you aren't. The problem really is that your flushing out all…

Me me me, cuz i loooove food

I'll save this for later. Never heard of it, but always wanted to go to Scotland, so this will be top of my list.
-
Yep I also had it when I was undereating on a low carb diet. Best is to make sure you eat enough. If it's related to your diet I'm not sure the shampoos will help. Maybe you should show your food diary to ur dr and he can propose different foods?

This week i've premade baked banana oats. Just added some peanut butter on top topin the morning and ate it cold... was quite a nice change. This is where i got the recipe: http://www.southerninlaw.com/2013/12/gluten-free-vegan-baked-banana-oatmeal-with-almond-butter.html

MFP! I don't see 5:2 working for me, plus with mfp I can eat anything as long as I fit it in my day, so I don't have a problem with any nights out, big breakfast, or any social occasion. It's so easy to lose a pound, but it's also very easy to gain it, so I don't think fasting for 2 days would be my plan for the rest of my…

I've customised mine to 40% carbs, 35% protein & 25% fat. That way it gives me the goals of 1gr protein/lb lean body body mass and 0.35 gr/lb weight, so I can pay close attention to those. There are some great posts on how to get started, that explain macros & calorie goals and it's worked rather well for me the last…

Since you like chicken, one of my favourite is a stir fry with chicken, fennel, bean sprouts and peanut butter. Mix in a little veggie broth to make the peanut butter into a sauce, addherbs/curry powder chilli or whatever you like. It's so yummy. You could even add other veg if you don't like fennel& beansprouts. My…

In on that! exactly my weight loss too!
-
Well done and keep at it and you'll reach your goals!
-
I haven't experienced anything like it. I have no idea whether it could be from your diet, but have you tried going to your doctor? He can do some tests and make sure everything is OK with you.
-
Well done. You look so great!!

I'm doing pilates and I love it. I never have huge problems with flexibility, but pilates is probably the way to go. Just take your time and you can notice the difference after a while. I do after a few weeks and I can generally see advancement.
-
just added you, I like to look at people's diaries and mine's always open!
-
yup, I am, well, was at sedentary, but am giving lightly active a try now. I would have thought it takes more exercise. I just don't want to start gaining it all back.
-
:D haha, yeah, I guess. I didn't think I was starving myself. I'll make sure I eat all exercise calories back. I guess it's a good time to test and play around with the numbers and see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Thank you
-
Yeah figured just testing out results may be the best option, although a long process. At least I can eat more :)

Yoga and Pilates do wonders for any PMS or period pains. They even have special exercises for it, so give it a try. I go as often as I can during my period! It also helps with relaxing so I always feel so much better walking out of the studio.

I hate that time. I always try to stay within my calories the week before, but I barely manage. So, while I do overeat, I try to do so in a healthy manner and keep the snacks to a minimum. At least it's never a total disaster in that case and I tend to lose more during the actual time.
-
I ate a MASSIVE chewy choc chip cookie today, went way over my calories and now have to live with it! Can only get better tomorrow!

It's exactly where I am right now. I find it so frustrating. I really try to stick to my cals prior to my period, but then I still ended up gaining 1kg this week. I also have a lot more cravings and feel hungrier than usual the week before, so I wouldn't be surprised about gaining anything. Anyway, I agree that the…
