  • We use to have a pizza night every Saturday. I would plan ahead and have 2 pieces.
  • Egg = the worlds perfect food. Cholesterol in natural, clean, unprocessed foods does not raise your serum cholesterol. Eat as many as you want.
  • WOW!! You look great!!
  • Def. red potatoes smothered in sauteed sweet onions, Steamed fresh broccoli. and. . . . I just don't know what I want with it, possibly fresh stuffed red pepper made with brown long grain rice.
  • Ditto (I have the same type of husband) Hard road to take but You'll look back and be so thankful. Not every person you'll meet will be like him.
  • Simply stated MFP has already figured out your total calories you need to eat per day to lose 1lb etc. a week. That's WITHOUT exercise. You'll notice that when you actually add exercise in, the calorie limit goes up. Why? Because it's telling you to eat your exercise calories. Large deficits aren't really good to do…
  • "no processed, sugar laden, chemically altered foods' I feel much better eating fresh foods. I'm trying to do it, I have my slips now and then like I eat 1/2 a canned biscuit last night
  • Nicely done. You SHOULD be extremely proud!!
  • Generally people are happier and content in a relationship.
  • I just eat as clean as possible. I'm not perfect (had a 1/2 of canned biscuit last night) BUT I logged it. I try to stay away from processed. I'm staying away from the fat free stuff because my body needs good fats. I'm learning every day, new things that in the past was wrong thinking. I found "THE DANIEL PLAN" and…
  • Not true if you are already restricting. Simply stated MFP has already figured out your total calories you need to eat per day to lose 1lb etc. a week. That's WITHOUT exercise. You'll notice that when you actually add exercise in, the calorie limit goes up. Why? Because it's telling you to eat your exercise calories. Large…
  • I agree with the aboves. Talk to your doctor. As long as you're healthy, eating a healthy diet is the best for both of you. Youre baby will take what it needs from you and you will be the one lacking. My niece is 8 months and hasn't gained an oz. her baby will weigh about 13 lbs and is very healthy. She was about 5'8" and…
  • I know what you mean about the fat. eeewwwww. I'm eating cleaner than I ever have in the past and logging it all. Clean, as close to how God made it. I found "The Daniel Plan" and watched the "clean your pantry" mostly of processed foods. I underestimate me exercise for example, I love water aerobics (not arthritis stuff)…
  • Everyone is different but this makes sense to me and works for me. A basic diet of 2000 cal plus exercise 2-5 times a week is the "normal" maintainable diet for most humans, correct? That's why most labels say "for a 2000 cal diet" However, I still want to lose weight. So for example, I take in 1800, exercise 600 bring my…
  • You just basically told my story. I've lost 80-100 pounds 3 times. The SAME 80-100 pounds. The depression of gaining is so unbearable sometimes I just want to go to bed and sleep forever. HOWEVER, years of dieting and depriving is over for me. I recently discovered this little formula that finally makes total sense to me…
  • If you eat 1200 and exercise off 400 you're body only gets 800 cal. This "could" eventually cause you to not lose or lose extremely slowly. Years of dieting and depriving and have caused me to fail several times. A basic diet of 2000 cal plus exercise 2-5 times a week is the "normal" maintainable diet for most humans You…
  • I eat them. I eat eggs (a boiled egg) at least once a day. Organic, free range beautiful 70 Cal perfect protein snack. Really helps keep my hunger under control. I've read the cholesterol in an egg will not raise your serum cholesterol level like once believed. Hydrogenated oils on the other hand.......beware.
  • According to the internet = I've learned a little too. =)
  • swallow the red onions *Chicken liver & onions*
  • This is what I've experienced. lose 80, gain 70. I've done this 3 times. This finally made since to me. I've not experienced nothing but positive motivation. That was until I posted something that made so much since to me, finally. Thank you for this post, someone understands. ")
  • I've noticed. I simply didn't word it correctly. Didn't know there was a witch hunt here. Still is simple math. Doesn't matter how much you all tear it apart. Sorry, I was only trying to help someone in the beginning to see the importance of eating and not feeling totally deprived.
  • . Several small meals work for me, keeps me from getting over hungry
  • Not eating back exercise calories doesn't necessarily mean that you won't lose weight. Even when my average net calories were under 1200 per day (over several days or weeks) I still lost weight. I won't claim that this is the best or most reliable method, but it can work. This being why this works for me. I've lost the…
  • I was asked how eating your exercise calories work, and it is simple math. this is how it works best for me. Small meals keeps me from being hungry and overeating I lose faster, steady with no plateaus You have to find what works for you but you do need to eat.
  • Planning my food for the day works best for me so if I'm over I can adjust servings and such. If I eat first, that leave my exercise to correct the deficit. I'm not totally in love with exercise, but I will do it.
  • If you eat 1200 and exercise off 400 you're body only gets 800 cal. Instant starvation mode and you'll not lose. You're body will keep everything you give it. It's not your fault, it's the way the body is made. Feast or famine. 1800 in - 600 exercise = 1200 is still (at the end of the week) from a normal 2000 cal diet is a…
