Without seeing your diary, it's very hard to help with ideas. From my experience on MFP over the past 9 months or so is that people do tend to stick to their caloric intakes... but do it with poor food choices. Maybe not intentionally because it is quite an eye opener on what foods are good and which ones are bad. Try to…

^^This. Quality of your food is more important than the quantity of your food. I lose weight even when not reaching the 1200 calorie goal. It is not a magic number. When you start replacing your food choices from junk to healthy, whole foods... you'll start seeing results. Learn to love your vegetables and have lots of…

Unfortunately you can't shrink large pores. I also have them and it drives me nuts. All we can do is exfoliate and keep them unclogged in order to give them the appearance of being smaller. I have found a combination that keeps mine looking good. 1. The Clarisonic facial cleansing brush: http://www.clarisonic.com/ 2.…

Mine is a full body shot... but only to show what I'll be doing in 7 short weeks. LOL!

1. 5'2" 2. 44 3. Starting weight: 157 lbs. Currently 132 lbs. 4. Between 1000-1200 5. Between 900-1100 6. I gained over the holidays and trying to work those off. They are not coming off fast... but I'm steadily losing about .2 lbs per week. I need to step up the exercise though. 7. I exceeded my goal by getting to 121…

I guess this topic isn't popular enough to make it on to the news feed page for others to see. Silly "say something nice about my picture" games and mindless rants take precedence. :( I miss the old way of displaying the "Recent Forum Topics" instead of showing the same old tired thread over and over again. <--- I guess…

It won't let me edit the original post now, but I forgot to mention that after the holidays I upped the ante again. 3 credits per pound!!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Men are such simple creatures sometimes. Like my hubby tells me all the time... "it doesn't take much to make him happy". :blushing:

Thank you! My hubby is now trying to motivate me when I feel too lazy for a workout. Funny how the tables have turned! LOL

I'm a 44-year old, 5'2", mother of two (12 and 4). Starting weight was 157 lbs and I exceeded my goal in August 2011 of 122 lbs. I gained some weight over the holidays and I'm working to get those off again. Good luck to all the mom's out there!

44, 45 in November. I don't feel my age though. ;-)

Breakfast is my biggest and favorite meal of the day! Mine is anywhere between 500-600 calories and I love it. :) Personally, for a better breakfast, I would suggest making sure your bread is whole wheat and only have the bacon/sausage/tator tots occasionally. Instead, add fruits and vegetables. It will keep you filled up…

Very inspiring! You look fantastic!

Next time you have a health check-up, have them tell you the results of your cholesterol check. If everything is within a healthy range, continue having them! I love whole eggs. :)

WOOHOO! You are lovely and doing an amazing job. I love to experiment with things. If you ever get stuck and aren't making the progress you think you should be seeing... change things up, try new things and ask questions. You got this, girl!!!

Plan ahead. What restaurant will you be going to? Do they have a website? Do they list their nutritional information on their website? If so, stay away from anything under their Light or Under 500 menu... they are the worst offenders of sodium overload. Instead, look for lean meats or seafood and have a steamed or grilled…

Prepare meals ahead of time, freeze them and then take them out to defrost while you're working. Also, take a snack pack to work or school and includes things like hard boiled eggs, fruit, nuts, vegetables, etc. Without changing the quality of the food we eat, exercising is futile. The American Heart Association recommends…

A good place to start on cleaning up your food choices is to replace the white Wonder bread with a whole grain option. I can't even have white enriched bread anymore because it hurts my stomach.

Use your best judgement. Eating them back work for some people but not for others. I'm one of those people who gain weight if I eat exercise calories back. JeSuisPrest has a point though... try controlling your macros. Too much sodium will make your body retain water. You may just need to get rid of the bloat. A good…

It's very strange, but this is what got me through my last plateau: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/bjohs/view/plateau-vs-chocolate-who-won-116497 I'm also 5'2". :)

P90X is what got me in shape for our trip to Mexico last spring. But nothing dropped the weight as quickly as really buckling down on my diet. I ate as clean as I could until the trip so I could enjoy all the food while on vacation. Good luck to you and have fun on your cruise!

Never mind, I found it!

DOH! I forgot I also met Bela Karolyi while at the Olympic Gymnastic Academy's summer camp at St. Scholastica in Duluth! One of my favorites!

Here is my memento from the show. I threw this painting together during a one hour art class my senior year in high school and brought it to the concert that night. LOL! This page cuts it off, but it's also signed by Morris himself. :)

I was doing the same at one point and became frustrated with having to work out so hard. Then I got hurt and was forced to concentrate on my diet and the types of food I was eating. Once I made the balance of 80% diet and 20% exercise, the weight started to melt off. I enjoy all kinds of food and would never classify it as…

My famous and not-so-famous run in's with celebrities... - Donny Most (Ralph Malph) when he was in town for a celebrity golf tournament. - Loretta Lynn when she was on the same flight returning from Paris. - Prince! Well, he was standing 3 feet behind me, I nodded and he nodded back. That's about as close to meeting him as…

I posted about the challenges I've been doing on Facebook. Seriously... it got me moving again after 2 months of being too lazy to even go out walking!!! I feel accountable to do my workouts now... plus we're having fun doing it. :)…

That's awesome that you pushed yourself harder! I'm doing 200 crunches tonight too! How funny. :)

Thanks! Since I have Taekwondo class tonight, my challenge for myself is to do an extra 20 minutes doing some sort of cardio before class. Having the extra push has really helped keep me accountable!
