I second the skinnytaste website. Skinny kitchen is good too. They have been a huge help to me along with the Taste of Home Diet cookbooks. I have a little bit of roast leftover from last night. I shredded it and will add a little BBQ sauce. Will have sandwiches on Orrowheat Sandwich Thins. Not sure what else I'll serve. Maybe some baked steak fries since I've got calories left.

Invest in a crockpot. Tons of recipes on the web. Dump the ingredients in, set the timer, when timer is done, you have food !!!. You can always prep meals in advance and put in the freezer, Look for crockpot freezer meal recipes. This is a small step in cooking but at least it's cooking. Good luck!

This is what's helping me. It's a guideline I follow for meals. 350 calories for breakfast 450 calories for lunch 500 calories for dinner 2-50 calorie snacks My meals usually aren't that high in the day leaving me more for dinner or higher calorie snacks. You can make it work!

I'm Tami. New here too. Have been using the MFP app for about a month. Didn't even realize there was a community. I think this site will be great for me. My first goal is 30 lbs. will probably try to go down another 20 when I reach that. Not sure how to do the friend thing but would love someone to keep accountable with.
