Try to find the Taste of Home Diet Comfort Food cookbooks. The food is exactly like I was cooking before just lightened up. You can't tell the difference in taste. Meat and potatoes kind of meals. They have helped me so very very much.

Used the banana bread recipe on skinnytaste.com but made it into muffins. One is about 140 calories. Keep them in the freezer, nuke them to defrost and warm up. Tastes like I just made them. One recipe lasts me 24 days(makes 2 dozen).

Drank sweet tea for years. Starting drinking unsweet tea in restaurants and drive thru's. A straw was the biggest help. Tyler Florence"s smothered pork chops are wonderful. My husbands all time favorite and he's picky. Don't know the calories but think they can be tweaked to make the numbers better. I think a bit of buttermilk is the biggest culprit and I know you can find it fat-free.

Since you have a family to cook for I suggest that you check out skinnytaste.com for recipes. Also Taste of Home Diet Comfort Food cookbooks. You should find tons of recipes that your family probably already eats, just lightened up. I don't feel deprived at all and nothing seems like diet food. It's just food, good food.…

Had to buy a couple of new bras a few months ago. Very upsetting as I was large enough to begin with. Lately I've noticed the new bras were fitting wonky and kinda big in spots. Today I tried on an old bra and it fits perfectly. No spillage , no bumps, no bulges! I'm a happy camper.

I'm 55 also. I've lost sixteen pounds since starting but only about ten since starting MFP. I've got about 40 to go so we are alike in many ways. I don't have a bad knee but I do have a wonky thyroid and that makes losing a bit harder . Please feel free to add me as a friend and we can motivate each other.
