Agreed. Having withdrawals. There are ECHL games, but I know it's not the same.

Only one, but I think he was a little weirded out by me being married. I just wanted someone to run with, talk about working out with (my husband doesn't work out, lol). Oh well!

Both of my daughters both have rolling backpacks. I had to carry my books on my back too and it hurt like a mofo sometimes - why would I want my kids to suffer, too?

I don't think it accelerates my weight loss, but it gives me something to look forward to. I don't want to obsessively weigh myself each day, so I pick one morning (Friday or Saturday, depending on if I forget) and weigh in. Once in a while I weigh in early because I feel like I may have lost some. I probably couldn't…

There were a few moments but the biggest a-ha moment for me was realizing I could not show up to my 10 year high school reunion weighing 100 pounds more than I did at graduation. Wasn't going to happen, no way no how. By the time the reunion happened I lost about 70 pounds (I think), maybe a little less. Another a-ha…

I think fake or "photoshopped" (lol people throw around that word so much it's absurd... but I digress) is basically - you can TELL the person has "edited" their body extremely. It's one thing to edit out blemishes, smooth your skin - but to try and make yourself, say, appear much thinner than you actually are (or…

If it's something especially vigorous like scrubbing the bathtub or the floor, yes - I usually break a sweat doing that - but other stuff? nah. Everything else is a normal part of my routine!

I think by about 600 one day... here and there by 10-20. No biggie!

I was told it wasn't "as good as" running on pavement and I believe it. However... that's what I started out doing. First elliptical, then I made friends with the treadmill. And starting at 5MPH?? That's great!! Keep it up! Running outside can be harder, but personally I found it got easier as I kept doing it. Just do what…

I absolutely love it, but it doesn't taste soapy to me ;). That's really interesting that it tastes like that to some people!

If a woman can post a half naked picture of herself here OR on facebook, then I see no problem posting a picture of your kid nursing.

I like that I can do them, I like that my arms are toned and not as jiggly... hmm. I think I'm apathetic towards them ;).

I lied on mine too - I was probably 20 pounds heavier than it says. Now I weigh 40 pounds less than my license weight! I think it's common. I just didn't like telling people how much I weighed :(.

I would use one of those ring sizers until you're done! I had engagement and wedding ring resized a couple of months back because, like you, they were spinning and falling off. Well, more weight has come off and they are spinny again. Crazy! It's a great NSV though ;) lol

This old guy who got hit by a car right outside my apartment - dead in my driveway within minutes. It was horrifying and took quite some time to get that picture out of my head. Hardest part was getting my daughter (4 at the time) to NOT look as I was walking her to school. She doesn't remember it but I always will.

You don't have to fight for it. It's voluntary to have it done.

Yahoo! That's great :)

Amen. One or two or even three days isn't going to wreck everything unless you allow it to. Just pick yourself up and keep trying again. Obviously you can do it if you've already lost weight (which according to your ticker, you have! And that's great!!). I'd like to meet one person who has had a perfect diet and workout…

A very happy birthday to you and big congrats on reaching onederland! :)

Heaviest: 230 Current: 150 Lightest (around 18): 130. Goal? Maybe 140 :).

I lost 2 cups sizes + 1 band size. It's frustrating, but at least I know I lost some fat there! LOL
-
You are one suave looking man - congratulations on your loss (now that's an odd statement!)!

No official exercise; just grocery shopped at two different stores and went up and down my stairs multiple times (I live on the 3rd floor!), once carrying bags of groceries :).
-
No diet... just a lifestyle change. Eating within a reasonable amount - fueling the body instead of trying to satisfy cravings constantly. :)

I feel better, I look better, I sleep better, I'm happier, it's my therapy. I'm stronger (physically and mentally), it presents me with a challenge almost every day, it helps me overcome obstacles (you know, the voice in your head that says to shut off the alarm and go back to sleep, or the voice that starts yelling when…

I was once asked by a man with a larger beer belly than my flabby belly (which seriously wasn't all that big...), if I was pregnant. I just shook my head and said, "Uh no but thanks for asking!" and walked away. People are seriously so insensitive.

I like the New Rules of Lifting for Women. Doesn't take long, it's a good workout - and after just 2 weeks of doing it I feel good results. The book is great - the author has a great sense of humor and explains things in a very easy to understand way instead of assuming you know all of the stuff he is talking about. Hope…

If it's simply for a class, I'd ask the prof. if s/he requires that stuff to be logged. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

My first 5k was actually 3.4 miles (trail run) and I came in at 37 minutes. I have another 5k on the 21st and I am hoping to get in at under 32 minutes :).

I agree with this poster. I'll give you my 2 cents: I used to be very addicted to eating junk food - chocolate, cake, cookies, fast food, etc. I used to eat fast food almost every day, I would "treat" myself to chocolate almost every day. I did eat SOME vegetables and fruit, but not enough. I overate. But, nobody told me…
