That used to happen to me when I went running. What I find helps is this: start off very slow. Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth. It regulates your breathing and helps you to cope with the pace. Take regular rests- it isn't bad to take breaks during Insanity! Perfectly normal. When you do, lift your…

For one, I'd get a food scale. No more estimating portions- know exactly how many calories in. Get a heart rate monitor to know exactly how many calories out. I'd eat less fat as well- I looked through a few days and you're over it there- and I'd also maybe consider getting less calories from high-sugar fruits. What's your…

Honestly, I'd just politely say that maybe she needs to use some deodorant. What's the worst can happen? She gets mad at you and you don't work out next to her any more? I mean.. hardly a bad thing here. If it were you, wouldn't you rather someone said it to you nicely than later down the line someone said it in a nasty…

I think when sick, there's no point doing insanity. It's tough. Getting better when sick takes a lot of energy and time, and depleting your energy by doing insanity- probably at half effort because you're unwell- means you'll be sick longer, have to take more time off, and keep doing insanity at a lower effort than usual.…

You can also get Soy, Hemp, Brown Rice protein powders.. Vega Sport protein powder is one my friend used and liked because it was a combination of different plant proteins.

Sick today. So going to take it off, and do cardio power on the recovery day instead. Two days of it in a row... EEP. Scary.

As far as the sweet tooth goes- I found this ridiculous website: http://www.skinnygirlstandard.com/ It's full to the brim of 'skinny', healthier sweet snacks. You could always make something like this up once a week and share! Or even bring them to a friend's house- then you can indulge guilt free, and they won't even know…

Did Pure Cardio yesterday and Plyo today... ohmygoodnessgracious. Seriously pure cardio kicked my bum so hard that Plyo actually felt like a relief. Tomorrow is my rest day... needless to say I am seriously looking forward to it haha!

Welcome Siobhan! :) Good luck with your goals! :)

Cardio Recovery today. I believed I'd be in for less pain but nope- it's just a recovery from cardio.. not from the relentless lunges and squat holds. My legs are jelly.

Welcome! :)

Welcome Natalie! Brilliant goal with the half ironman- I hope we can help! :)

I'd be the same as regards little snacks. :) Another good idea would be for family gatherings to make a big batch of something and bring it (if it's in someone's home etc), because then you can eat healthy and family will appreciate the extra effort. As for going out to restaurants, most places offer healthy alternatives.…

Fantastic idea! I'm going to take some in the morning. :)

Welcome everybody! I'm delighted we have so many people already to really motivate and support each other. Insanity is so tough, but the rewards will definitely be worth it! We just need to stick together and encourage each other :)

I'm starting it today! I've just set up a group for it http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/22791-insanity-challenge-beginning-july-28th-august-4th and would love for anybody interested to join! I've tried it like twice before and only managed a week because I don't do as well without support and accountability so I…
