I attained mine, and she hers, and we're getting married next year. Best of luck to you.

If you have the option, check out a local gym but don't get a contract. Just go for a day. Most gyms let you try them out free for a day or maybe for $10 for the day. What you're really doing there is learning what weights you can lift. This way you don't waste money on weights that are too light or too heavy.

Clothing sizes vary by brand and, frankly, by year. One size 12 is another brand or year's size 14 or size 10. Frame also has to be taken into account. At the end of the day, what matters is how happy you are with your appearance. If you're a bombshell in a size 12 to yourself, then that's what counts.

Your goal is to look toned, right? Lift heavy. There are no other answers, just people hemming and hawing over details. Check out Stronglifts or Starting Strength. Or both! You will learn boatloads in just a day or two of reading, and then you can apply that knowledge yourself. The great thing with lifting is you will see…

This isn't calorie-free, it's just very low calorie. Apples contain sugar which leeches into the water. Also I really hope you are all still eating in addition to this. There is no such thing as a "detox" - do not fast for 5 days while doing nothing but drinking apple water.

I don't understand the 3 pages of back and forth on this. lilteeraw - this is very straightforward: If you want to "tone", you need to lift heavy weights. "Heavy" means something you can only lift 3-5 times in one set before you have to put it down and rest for a few minutes. If you want to "lose fat", you can lift heavy…

The person as described would be at best a "Sunday Christian", i.e. casual believer but not a real practitioner/believer/etc. As for me, I have my perfect partner, and she's amazing.

1) Eat more and make sure it's clean (lean meats, vegetables, fruits) 2) Lift heavy (check out Starting Strength and Stronglifts 5x5) Also if you want to tuck a shirt in, try a suit. Women love men in a nice suit. A tucked-in polo is not a suit. Yeap. I'm 6'1" and 180 with 17% bodyfat. At 130lbs I'd look like walking death.

Everybody dies, and we are all the richer for our mortality.

Check out Starting Strength (Mark Rippetoe, aka "Rippetoe's"; world-renowned gaining program) or Stronglifts (100% free and I'd argue also world-renowned) for more information than you could shake a stick at. Simple breakdown: Eat above your maintenance calories. Lift heavy weight. ...and you will put on muscle. Note that…

Years ago, I stopped biting my nails cold-turkey. I still can't stop biting my cuticles, though :(

I eat baker's chocolate (100%) and it's delicious. Then again, I'm a lunatic :D

Different for absolutely every individual.

Diet is 90% or more of it. People say 80%, I disagree, it's almost the entire deal. Her figure is 100% attainable through diet changes.

He has some need that isn't being fulfilled and yet instead of talking with you about it (i.e. the right thing) he's going behind your back (i.e. the wrong thing). Whether or not it's cheating is subjective, but it's certainly not worthy of trust. Talk with him about it. Figure out what his needs are. See if you can meet…

Unless you aren't eating properly, in which case you end up with largely-muscular and still-fat legs. Just cautioning the thread starter, here.

Stay true to yourself and others. That's all that matters.

Total bad*ss. Watch the slight curve on the lower back in the 2nd pic, though. Deadlifts are serious business, keep that form perfect at all times!

This. The guy is a waste of your time. Stop responding to him. Stop participating in the charade. 1 voicemail or 10, 5 text messages or 50, just ignore him.

Easiest solution: buzz your hair off! I haven't used shampoo or conditioner in years, I just keep my hair at 1/8th inch ;)

I walk around a lot at work as well, use stairs, pace around on the phone, etc., and I still mark myself as "sedentary". Frankly my heart rate isn't hitting 140+ BPM for any extended period of time doing any of those things, so I'm not "active". Then on days where I exercise, I simply eat back those calories.

From a fellow sufferer of body image issues, I know I am my own worst critic. Use it to your advantage. Turn the esteem issues into active motivation to drive you towards your goal. I think it's actually easier for us to lose weight and keep it off, because we are so conscious of our physical selves.

Lifestyle change. Losing weight is easy. Keeping it off is hard. You can diet all you want, but unless you change your mindset on eating, sleeping, exercise, and food in general then it's not a lifestyle change and it's only temporary.

Wake up. Evacuate waste (i.e. "use the restroom"). Weigh yourself. Commence morning routine (i.e. brush your teeth, shower, whatever). Follow that exact order. Always weigh yourself first thing in the morning after using the restroom but before doing ANYTHING else. Also women's water stores can fluctuate wildly, even day…
