  • First off, what did you set your 'lifestyle' at? Mine tells me I should eat 1860 but I work as a carpenter. That seems like a pretty high calorie need for someone who doesn't have a real active lifestyle unless your really tall. I see your goal is 55 pounds so you might want to go back and look at your initial settings
  • Oh yeah! Been there...often! Still go there! Good to see you're recognizing the issues though! Seems like the time we think about going shopping the most is when we really shouldn't!
  • I know the feeling! You prepare yourself all day for the dinner out and then get slapped in the face by dessert! Just accept the learning experience! We now know that molten lava cookie is evil!!! And you've saved so many people by warning us!! Thank you!!!
  • Now I'm gonna be wondering if I ever see "so&so burned 100 calories doing exercise including salsa dancing"!!!
  • The kidneys of a healthy adult can process fifteen liters of water a day! You are unlikely to suffer from water intoxication, even if you drink a lot of water, as long as you drink over time as opposed to intaking an enormous volume at one time. As a general guideline, most adults need about three quarts of fluid each day.…
  • You would have to drink about 6 to 8 gallons of water in one day for it to be a problem! I usually drink at least 14 glasses (8oz servings) No, it won't affect your weight negatively. Actually it's very good for helping with getting rid of excess fluid and waste! So... drink up!
  • This is a great idea! It's kind of what my sister did that got me here!!
  • Remember Italian is alot more than just spaghetti and lasagne! Look for someplace that serves southern italian fare. Lots of grilled meats & veggies, seafood, not so much of the pastas and creamy stuff!
  • 22% is a great number! I did have it done several years ago. And many pounds ago! It was too high then and I'd be terrified to see it now!
  • I loved that commercial!! It's what made me first realize the extreme dieting I was doing was insane!
  • challenges are something I'll have problems focusing on til next week. I think most I'll get anyway, but I'm busy focusing taking care of my daughter and granddaughters right now. The doctors say daughter should be doing better next week but I'm just taking 1 day at a time!
  • my clicks are in my ankles. I've had them xrayed, mri's, stress tests, sonograms, there's nothing wrong and my ankles are strong. They just click. It started about the time I hit 40. The advise I was given was don't worry about it unless it starts hurting
  • I think it's been said. If you're trying to develop a healthy lifestyle then you absolutely do NOT take your scale. Can there possibly be anything healthy about that? It's crossing the line from healthy to obsessive. I too jump on the scale every morning. It's a reminder to me and a little nudge if I know the day before…
  • Start with one thing you know is an issue. Not drinking enough water, not walking enough, certain foods you can't limit yourself on. Change that one thing for the week. Then next week, pick one thing. It's just too hard to try to change your whole life all at once!
  • I've had cycle issues for several years now. Random starting and stopping, sometimes only 3 days sometime 3 weeks. It's frustrating and it's definitely hard on the diet! I try to make sure I increase my water during that time and this is when you want to add the Crystal Light or something. Try to keep moving as much as…
  • Hmmm, is there a new thread I haven't found? Or has everybody fallen off the wagon??
  • When you reach your goal your friends will be here to help you maintain and you'll be the one helping those just starting out to achieve the accomplishments you have!! Never fear....your friends are here!
  • Just wanted to send you a "FABULOUS!!!" You're pictures are amazing!!!

  • Little late but here's yesterday's report Goal 1: remember to take my vitamins daily(sounds easy but not remembering to take my pills is how I ended up with 3 kids!) I did it! Goal 2: clean out/organize 1 area every day(thanks mssdee) organized pantry. Who knew there was so much crap in there! Goal 3: Wear pedometer daily…
  • Tuesday challenge under cals- still have dinner to go but not a problem 10 glasses of water: at 10 now. at least 2 more with dinner
  • Last week was a total bomb! Therefore I'm going to erase it and call for a do-over. My goals this week starting today Monday July 4th Goal 1: remember to take my vitamins daily(sounds easy but not remembering to take my pills is how I ended up with 3 kids!) I did it! Goal 2: clean out/organize 1 area every day(thanks…
  • Week 2 weigh in. 246.6 Oops that's an increase of .2 due to TOM and practically living at the hospital! This week will be better!
  • I haven't bought one yet specifically because I was concerned about that! I'll be watching this thread hoping for an answer!
  • I don't count my coffee. I drink plain black coffee, and even though I know there's a minuscule amount of calories in coffee, I refuse to let myself become that obsessive! I'm trying to live a certain lifestyle not be on a diet. And if I have to account for 3 calories for the day....well, it's just not gonna happen!!!
  • This is a great statement!! I wonder how many people are out there that we think are being rude or self centered who actually didn't know!!!!
  • Didn't get a chance to jump on the scale before I left this morning for the hospital. Weigh in tomorrow morning!
  • I agree that I wouldn't try to estimate a bite unless of course it was a bite or two of several things! I personally feel like that's taking things to a level that's outside of "lifestyle" and into "extreme dieting". But that's my way. However, if you are going to estimate bites I can't imagine using 1/4 as a guideline…
