Guinness for me, but gave up drinking a few years ago. 210 calories in a pint of Guinness and at 10-15 pints a night when out thats a lot of calories

You need protein in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones, so as you destroy muscle doing exercise then protein helps build newer bigger muscle this is a very simple definition and Im sure some one will post the more complex answer

I use musclefood.com and buy a lot of the jerky for snacks and zebra/kangaroo steaks for tea :) Their protein packed ready meals are quite tasty too
