  • where you most likely started in hs... in gym class. if you don't want to read up on it outside of your gym time, you can probably find a class at your gym for strength / resistance training.
  • hahaha overindulgence will always kill a craving... I did the same thing for my brother's sister in law's engagement party. my sister in law and I made 100 cupcakes and then attempted to make cake pops for a table seating. not to mention I was out of town so I wasn't really eating all that well to begin with but I must…
  • Protein shakes should be used to supplement your regular food intake but it should not be your only source of protein. As Sunshine said, it can be used when you're not meeting your protein requirement. Natural food sources contain amino acids and vitamins/minerals that keep your body strong that whey isolate can't provide.

  • I would go see a dr to have your vitamin balance checked. It could just be an excess of potassium from the fruits/veggies. Anything your body doesn't use will most likely just come out in your pee or sweat. Your body's probably just getting used to the change. What are your average sodium, potassium and fiber counts?
  • you should eat a salad for lunch everyday you should eat breakfast everyday or your body will go into starvation crunches get rid of belly fat eat 1000 calories a day and you'll have your ideal body

  • Who said you had to eat salad? What about a veggie sandwich/wrap/burrito or steamed veggies with dressing? Or even just plain veggies. I also add peppers & tomatoes and things like that to my omelet. and add broccoli, peas and corn to my pasta. V8 is really good. I drink the original low sodium version. And I like to make…

  • What's wrong with 134 being your goal weight? For the average person, your goal weight should be a healthy weight for you to maintain based on your ideal weight range and lean body mass. I don't know your bf% but according to BMI, your target weight range should be 110.3 - 149.1, making 134 sit safely in the middle.
  • its called Palak Paneer. its a spinach curry with paneer.

  • i tried it once. it's a little gimmicky. it did nothing for me. i'd eat one and have the recommended 8 glasses of water and an hour later I was hungry again. its like a glorified rice cake. i'd rather have real food.

  • - egg whites.. you could hard boil some eggs for a few days and leave them refrigerated and only take them out when you want a snack - almonds - spinach.. maybe make a side salad with spinach & beans & other veggies - greek yogurt.. i add either honey or fresh fruit to mine to make it tasty
  • there isn't much you can do because your body's probably still processing it but try to increase your potassium to level it off. i try to always have at least a 1:1 or 2:1 potassium: sodium ratio although I hear 3:1 is ideal for the human body (its hard!). a lot of fruits and veggies are high in potassium tho. Also make…

  • I read the whole thing and I have to admit that it sounds like a bit of rubbish. One reason is that I would not read a study by scientists that conclude that a study may make you "stupid." That's not a scientific conclusion. Secondly, yes this study was done on rats. While I would not completely discount it on that basis,…
  • what if you left yourself enough calories to let yourself indulge a little at night?
  • I'd go with Jessica Biel...
  • im pretty sure arnold schwarzenegger is considered obese. don't go by numbers and labels because we all have different bodies. just gotta be healthy and feel good.. thats all that matters :) btw - your progress is awesome!!
  • 50/50.. I was never overweight but wanted to look better so it started as vanity but now I love tracking my fitness progress and making sure I dont end up with a lot of the same health problems that there are in my family history related to poor eating choices and a sedentary lifestyle
  • 1. In my experience, when there's an entire list of people (who in this case have a lot of experience with the matter), maybe they have something worth listening to? 2. A calorie deficit, done the right way, will not make you gain weight. (Notice: done the right way.) If you're gaining weight, there's more going on than…
  • i would hang up my dumbells if i found out it exists
  • you gotta tell yourself that you can't buy it. I only buy ghiradelli chocolate squares that come prepackaged so I'll grab one every once in a while after dinner if I need a sweet taste and I always make sure I have the cals for it. Try to keep yourself out of the kitchen by keeping busy. When I'm thinking about chocolate…
