I know this isn't a recent post but I've just bought a fitbit and have been wondering about activity levels as the extra calories I seem to get are too high. I work in a school so no strenuous activity just mostly walking around, between 6000 and 8000 steps a day ( at work ). I'm currently set at lightly active but as I'm…

Thank you everyone. I kind of figured it wasn't true having noticed nothing physically! In fact I was quite relaxed and happy at that time which is why it shocked me. If I had noticed anything I'd have checked then and been phoning the doctor. I think I just needed someone else to confirm what I was saying in my own head.…

Hi! I'm struggling to find how to add people as friends, how do I add you?

Thanks ladies :)

I've been doing some reading up regarding rest days and they are definitely recommended, at least one day. That 1 day ( or 2) does not count towards the 30 days. With this in mind I'm going to give Sundays a rest as I generally do a longer dog walk on that day anyway. It may take slightly longer this way but at least my…

Day 1 completed! Yes it was hard but the 20 minutes flew. It's the cardio parts that got me as I am admittedly very unfit and I did stop for a few seconds a few times but I battled through it. I did take a photo just so that I can see if there is any difference after the 30 days. Actually looking forward to day 2!

Thanks for the replies! Please add me if you want to give this a go with me, it's good to know other people are already on with it. I'm starting today, just waiting for the house to empty! Are you all doing 30 days straight or having days off?
-
I was going to log it as Sunday's are usually do nothing days, I don't build walls for a living. My activity level is set as light activity as during the week I'm on my feet, walking around all day at work and I've already done the scrubbing, sweeping, hoovering and mopping that I assumed was light activity. I don't log…

Thanks, I've changed my settings in wlr so that it's correct. I didn't want to start off on the wrong weight.

I'm starting again today to. I've started again so many times but this time has to be the one I stick to! Good luck!

I didn't get up in time for the 30 day shred this morning but I did go on the dog walk, a shorter 20 minute walk as the weather is rubbish but it's an achievement still :)

I rarely spend any time in front of a screen, even when I'm home I'm working most nights or studying. I've never been a big screen person thankfully :)

Thank you all for the replies. I used to go on the dog walks on my own after work but there has been some instances of dog thefts and assault against women walking dogs in the local area so now I wait until he gets home, by which time I'm getting dinner ready. I have set my alarm to get up earlier, that's when I was going…

I've been here a few times and find my will power is very weak but I'm trying my best. My news feed is pretty empty so i need some friends who post often to help keep me motivated! I'm currently 12 1/2 stone and aiming to lose a minimum of 2 stone. :)

I've just Googled this as I'd never heard of it and the symptoms do match. Thank you, now I try things to see if I can relieve it a little.

Thanks for the replies. I have already searched the net and not found a great deal. Looks like the crisps will be staying  I will be trying the kale crisps though, they sound nice!

I will try the exercises, thanks. It's feels a bit like muscles locking. It's along the arches of my feet. It doesn't really cause a problem as it only lasts a few minutes I just found it a bit strange.

Wow you've been through a lot. Your body needs chance to recover and it won't be able to do that if you are skipping food all day. You can lose weight you've proven that just take it slow and make healthy choices. What is your weight loss set at? Maybe altering it for a few weeks will help. I hope life stops throwing…

So you did 55 minutes of yoga, something you have never done before, that's brilliant! Honestly it is. It doesn't matter that you took a break, everybody needs a break that's fine. The fact that you went there and gave it a go shows strength and courage, please don't give up! One lesson I learnt recently though is not to…

That really puts it into perspective, thank you :) Yes I'm on 1200 a day, its just been a crap week, car broke and end of month being skint has meant being stuck on the house most of the time with the fridge. I binged this lunch time but as I didn't have breakfast and dinner is low calorie I'm still on track to stay within…

I watched a documentary a while ago about sleep and eating patterns. They experimented on two groups of people, group one had eight hours sleep and group 2 far less. Group 2 then ate far more the next day, feeling the need to snack and have bigger meals than group 1. They then swopped them around and the outcome was the…

I know I'm not going to stick to 285 as it isn't realistic but I'd like to limit the damage as much as possible so if I can use exercise to raise my weekly goal limit and stay under for the next two days that will help me mentally. Right now I'm feeling crap about it and unless I have a plan in my head the weekend will be…

I use mfp, Google or the walking apps for the calories as I don't own any equipment which is why I thought of eating just half as I know the calories burned aren't that accurate.
-
Thank you for all the ideas, there isn't usually anything left over at dinner but Maybe making a little more and taking it to work could work. Breakfast is low because I can't eat first thing in a morning, that's just me it makes me feel sick so I don't eat until break which is around 10:30. This is going to be hard when I…

I've been back again....several times lol. This time is it though, 26 days of signing in so far and not much lost but i'm learning a lot through paying more attention to what i'm eating! Take it a day at a time and enjoy a new lifestyle, good luck :)

I too have been looking for a good multivitamin. I bought a supermarkets own multi and it gave me stomach ache every time I took it even with food. I've heard centrum is good so that may be the next one I try.

Thanks for the replies. All the ingredients are bought recently and I've even tried adding a little extra baking powder just in case. I've tried packet cakes but get the same result. I always preheat the oven and have tried cooking on the next gas mark up from what it says. Maybe I'm just crap at baking haha. Meals I can…

Try not to see this as a diet. It's a learning experience and a lifestyle change with an aim to being healthier. Take things one step at a time, don't try to change everything at once. Maybe try logging everything you normally eat for a couple of days and look at the calories and nutrition you are having it can be a real…
