I smiled too - and I hope you are feeling better! My mum told me she was unwell but I inly truly realised just how unwell when I saw her daily fitbit steps drop from 15k to 4k!

I lost 5 stone on WW and can't speak highly enough of it. The more recent change of having daily points plus 49 weekly points has particularly struck a chord with me, in that I can 'spend' more points at weekends but gave to be 'good' the rest of the week to make up for it! That's been a really valuable lesson to me and…

Ps re starvation mode - there are lots of posts on here on this but it's on the whole a myth. You won't stop losing or gain overall on a calorie deficit. But you will stop your body getting what it needs if you eat too little. You can still lose on more calories than 1200. When I started WW I was 15st 11lbs and had 33…

I've lost just over 5st since January and gone from a size 20 to a 12. I accredit much of that to Weight Watchers! I found it really easy to follow, initially online and then at meetings to get the extra push to 'gold' membership. Now I'm maintaining. I've lost weight before but from reading the forums on the WW website…

Fitbit encompasses a number of different products, one of which is the 'fitbit flex' which I will describe! First off, visit the fitbit website, which will give you loads of info. (Other activity trackers are also available) I bought my flex when I had lost 60lbs and was beginning to move towards maintenance. I knew from…

I weigh every morning first thing and at night before bed. And sometimes in between! I make a note of the reading on my ipad. I find that helps me not to worry as I can look back and see 'ah, I was a couple of pounds up on my official reading by Wednesday last week and had still lost by Saturday' etc. It does help to keep…

I absolutely love my Fitbit flex! I love data etc so have the premium subscription on top of the basic info - it's great to see my activity levels are in the 97th percentile etc. so many days I have done a bit more to try and meet my goals - eg tonight while I was cooking I danced about and jogged on the spot while I was…

Thank you both for your really detailed replies! I really appreciate them. I'm not trying to lose 2lbs a week now - wanting 0.5-1lb a week if possible and happy to stay the same too. I'm trying to gradually increase my intake so that I can find a good level for maintenance. All that you've said about why daily burn…

Could it be that your time zone is incorrect? That would mean your new day started earlier than you expected. You can check that in the settings. Otherwise I'm not sure what it could be.

I've lost 5 stone on Weight Watchers. That is basically calorie cycling. I get 26 daily points plus free fruit and veg (around 1300 cals a day) and 49 weekly points (around 2000 cals) that I can use whenever I like through the week. I use them to fit my week. Ie if I'm having a night out at the weekend I usually use most…

I pretty much always do that. It's a habit I've learned from doing Weight Watchers. It helps me to know that if I'm offered something at work, for example, whether I can have it or not. Or whether I have something planned later in the day that I can cut out to make room for something else. I think it's a really great habit…

Eating 2200 calories isn't a binge. Having high and low days works for me and I consistently lose 3-3.5 lbs over a 2 week period. I generally have higher days (1800ish) at the weekend then lower (around 1200) during the week. Well done for your great loss!

These were the exact 2 I was going to post! I hate that first one when I'm lying in bed at night! As for the second one, well I horribly embarrassed myself on a work night out by being sick! Thankfully, all my colleagues were very understanding when I blamed the 4 stone weight loss! I'm finding I'm getting more (unwanted)…

If you're like me you work better with a more structured plan? I have used Weight Watchers and lost just under 5 stone. The principles are very similar to MFP (ie eat less, move more!) - if you stick to it you will lose! I paid £11 a month just for the online stuff to begin with then £21 a month to go to meetings too. Now…

I don't really post on here, just lurk. But I have to today because a. I like the thread and b. The person who was all smug about checking spellings and was wrong made me laugh! Great post OP.

I've been doing Weight Watchers for 7 months. I've lost 65lbs and 13.5 inches from my waist. Hope that helps.
