Totally Agree! I had knee problems from running and when I started Yoga i no longer have knee pain and I can run longer and faster now. My knee trouble was very intense burning on the sides of my knee - even when resting. Doing Pigeon Pose saved me!

Just wanted to mention one other thing... if you want to lose weight you should not be eating back your calories. I am in a training program with a Registered Dietician/Nutritionist, Physical Therapist/Personal Trainer and a Medical Doctor. We just all had a big meeting about MFP and this topic of eating back calories and…

If you're eating over 1200 calories a day and still starving, then increase the amount of vegetables in your diet. PROPER nutrition at 1200 calories a day should be plenty even with burning 300-500 calories a day. Some days (i.e., hormonal fluctuations around you time of the month) may make you feel more hungry so on those…

Yoga Yoga!! I have had HORRIBLE knee pain for years and once I started doing yoga the pain is GONE! I also agree with the foam roller - this is a great way to get in deep with the tight muscle but remember that the muscles surrounding/supporting the area that feels tight must also be stretched - this is why yoga has been…

Boy, after reading a few of these posts some of us need to take a deep breath. Why critizie a woman for trying something new that she feels is positive and wants to do? It's not harming you, so if you don't agree with her choice then at least be respectful and keep your negativity to yourself. Less judgement, more…

*yourselves... oops!! Got a little carried away! :0)

Thanks everyone!! It's wonderful to meet all of you! I'm going to log in everyday, multiple times, so that I can keep myself accountable and motivated. I'm a SAHM with school-aged kids so I have NO EXCUSES!!! I'm being kind to myself this time around and NOT going to judge myself harshly for not being perfect. No one is…

Try going Vegetarian for 30 days and commiting to at least 30 minutes of walking everyday. It's a short time period so not too daunting but a great way to jump start a healthy lifestyle and habits. If you can't do Vegetarian then try REALLY hard to drastically lower your Carbs and focus on Veggies and Lean protiens (tofu,…
