I have a set of 5 pound weights. And when I remember, I just stand in front of the tv and lift above my head and also tilt to the side. I also lift to the side, behind and in front. I figure it is better than nothing.

I am still learning not to go by the number on the scale, but how my clothes are fitting. If your clothes are getting to big, then you are on the right track. And for exercise, maybe just go for walks around the neighborhood or park. That would count and be exercising.
