Thanks! Question, and I know a newbie type one, light weights lots of reps or heavy weights for the 3 sets. I have looked at Bill Phillips way of 3 sets and going heavier then the last set of different exercise targeting same muscle.

Thanks:)

teehehe... Okay, just using your title here (because I don't know your healthy history or likes/dislikes) "No motivation to exercise" Tight clothing Feeling yucky when looking at buying swimwear or new clothes Sluggish feeling Tired all the time Not wanting to go out to dinner with friends in case the food is too tempting…

Oh I so get the "want to eat more" days - ouch, hate those days, they usually trip me up. Thanks for the info, the biggest 'aha' (or is that DOH!) moment came when you said the numbers should be the same for either method if you average them out. Thanks! Will do the 1 cal for exercise, thanks for that tip. Thanks…

Thanks! I've upped my cals using the MFP and dropped my goal from 1kg to .5kg to lose per week, to get the extra cals, kept it at sedentary, and will eat some (not all) of my exercise cals back. This makes more sense now :)
-
Thanks, will keep this in mind and check out some other sites for cal burned :) Oh, and yes, I get what you mean by "very active" and then cals burned. I think I've been one of those peeps in the past - woops

I think juice is brill! But I use a blender (to keep the fiber) which is a fantastic way to shove as much fruit and veg down my gob for the sake of natural nutrients, and if I detox as well, well that's just a bonus. It's just part of my day in terms of getting fruit and veg in, but detoxing is not my focus. The best part?…

Yay! I went to bodybuilding.com to use their LBM calculator and it says 116 lbs - so then perhaps my protein range should be 92-116 (in general?) - this is so confusing! I went and checked my TDEE/BMR from IIFYM TDEE 1774 (for fat loss) BMR 1518 Maintenance 2087 GRAMS per day CARBS 221.4 PROTEIN 116.9 FAT 46.8 FIBER 34 -…

Thank you for that, I did tweek it as I was trying for TDEE(something) which I still don't fully understand. I know to eat back my exercise cals. The setting I had it on was off a site that gave me the cals to eat and my guess is, they weren't maintenance cals, which also gave me my protein amount. So for a 169 lb gal…

Thank you for this info. This is going to sound really naff, but my goal (as set by MFP - I think) says 122, so I'm actually aiming too high?

BOOM! You are smokin! You are rocking it. Loved the pics, one inspirational woman!

Truly inspirational! I loved how you wrote that 'you believed in you' - < this! (touched me the most). Sometimes we look to others to believe in us, if only we would believe in ourselves. Thanks for sharing.

my father calls sugar 'white death'... wonder why?

Awesome pics, job well done, like all those that have posted before me, Congratulations!

This is my fav. Thanks for sharing BostonLulu for your well thought out post. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is always nice to hear the personal stories instead of spouting off research, which by the looks of it, can become a sticky topic. I'm an all or nothing kind of gal with alcohol. Bet you anything its the sugar in it! I…

I'm wondering if you weigh yourself at the same time and in the same or similar clothes, and also, if you are, well clogged up.

Also, thanks for sharing

I was going to post a lengthy reply, but after reading SilverOnTheTr's post, pretty much everything is covered. One good thing, you can drink water out of the tap, sounds silly, but at least you know you can fill your water bottle up with tap water (depends on what you prefer of course). I don't think you need to worry too…

Sorry I can't give you any advice. I'm just posting cos it will make it easier for me to keeps tabs on this. I would also like to know the answer to this. Congrats with your loss thus far.
