I'm aiming for 62.4kg, as it is a round 30kg under my starting weight of 92.4kg (I am 1.68m). However, its more about how I feel than the numbers, so it will depend on how I feel.

Eat at a deficit, and move (gently) as much as you can.

Hi Fox, you don't need to lose 50kg, you need to lose 1kg and keep repeating. Before you know it you will have lost 5kg, and that's 10% of the way there. You can do it!

Fast day today will be: 2 small cups of black coffee, herbal tea and water throughout the day. Dinner will be chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese with walnuts, wrapped in cured ham (Bayonne, Parma etc) and baked in the oven on a bed of sliced onions and red pepper, probably served with a small portion of brown rice.

Hi Karen, welcome aboard. I would second what JJA said above, particulaly about overcompensating on non-fast days. On fast days, I find it suits me best to save my calories for the evening meal, but others prefer to have 2 or even 3 small meals - you need to find what works for you. We don't have Indian (or any other!) takeaways where I live :'( and I love Indian food, so its diy when I can find the spices etc. My favourites when I was in UK were dhal, tandoori chicken and chapattis.

I love food!! (ex-chef). 20:30 here and just finished my first fast day of the week - saved all my calories for a really tasty dinner. This works well for me as my husband and I have the same food, I just give him more carbs (red potatoes today). Next fast day scheduled for Thursday.

No, I don't believe there is. There are workarounds. I have created a fake "food" of 900 calories, called something like 5:2 adjustment, which I enter on Fast days to fppl MFP into closing my day. Or you could just not close your day.

It's Sunday here too! Lovely day, frosty start, now sunny but cold. Dogs had a shorter walk than normal today as the local "chasse" (hunt) were out and the shots spook the dogs and make them hyper.

I am doing 5:2. 2 days a week I eat up to 500 cals, and eat normally the other 5 days. I try to keep to 1500 calories (TDEE of my goal weight) for my non-fast days during the week, and 1800 calories (TDEE of my current weight) at the weekends. Yes, I am. MFP is not really set up to cope with 500 cal days, but there are ways round it. If you're not bothered about "closing" your day, just enter your food as normal.
