  • @inshapeCK you're doing a great job posting every day. I love the way you involve your family in your exercise. I have to make do with the dogs! Having said that, my final pass day today (3/3). We had to take our car for its CT today, then went on to do a big shop for all the stuff we couldn't get in the village, or…
  • November was the first month I joined any challengers, and to be honest I wasn't sure what the benefit would be. This group has been great! I have always been a bit of a self-starter and as an introvert, not overly into sharing, So I was half expecting to drop out after a week or so - not the case at all. Everyone has been…
  • @kaye4health Thinking of you - hope things turn out OK.
  • Better day today - Yes x 3 for me. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!
  • I need to come clean and amend my entry for today - my husband "persuaded " me to share a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau to celebrate our car returning from the garagiste. Just the CT (French equivalent of the English MoT test) and then we'll be mobile again. Upshot of this is that I exceeded my calorie goal and so am…
  • Hi all, Exercise - Yes 30 mins Pilates and 35 mins walking. Car (hopefully) fixed this Friday so walking back to recreational rather then just functional. Calorie goal - Yes Tracking - Yes I try to keep my carbs low and don't worry if fats are higher, within calorie goal.
  • @luluinca you probably won't see this now (different time zone) but just wanted to say my thoughts and good wishes are with you and your loved ones. Hope 2018 brings you happiness and peace. Look forward to "seeing" you again xx
  • Gorgeous photos! Yes x 3 for me today.
  • @luluinca Exciting times!
  • Exercise - Yes Pilates and dog-walking Calories - Yes Under goal Tracking - Yes All logged I have (to my shame and disappointment) never been an exercise fan, so have never been motivated to use exercise to control my weight. I do some exercise now, as I want to improve my fitness.
  • 3 Yes from me today - barely on exercise as the puppy was being an absolute nightmare so I had to cut his walk short. From my parents I learned i have to stand on my own two feet.
  • Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, over 1 hr of walking (inc hills) to village, food shopping, walking back carrying said shopping in backpack. I will be SO glad when car is fixed! Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes NSV - I wore a pair of jeans…
  • INTP here. I always plan my shopping and meals, but the rest is more "free-form ". Now I am no longer constrained by having to go to work I prefer a more loose structure to life. My overall goals are fairly well defined, but the details much more fuzzy. Fairly good day today: Exercise - Yes. 35 mins walking puppy in the…
  • 3 Yes from me today. Sunny but cold here - quite frosty early this morning when taking the dogs out. What have I have learned this week? That I am capable of sticking to my regime even when faced with temptation - for example I didn't have a second glass of vin chaud yesterday when it was offered, instead seeing the bigger…
  • @glimjy So sorry you had car trouble - but think of the benefits of that brisk walk! I do empathise - my car is "hors de combat" awaiting parts so I am walking everywhere at the moment. Not too bad as long as it's not raining, but going out involves a steep twisting downhill from my house, with the corresponding uphill on…
  • @120maggie Sending all good wishes to you and your husband, and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
  • Exercise - Yes, over 1hr walking inc. hills, into village and back. Calories - Yes, including a glass of vin chaud at the local cafe. Tracked - Yes @dejavuohlala You have not failed (no such thing), you are still here posting and in fact are doing great! It's my first month here too, and I am finding the support and…
  • @craigo3154 I couldn't agree more. Since I've ditched the empty carbs and focused on quality meat, fish, veg and legumes, plus a little Greek yogurt and some cheese (this is France after all!) I feel and look much better. Plus I'm losing weight. What's not to like!
  • @ka97 it's been a good while since I had TOTM but I well remember that horrible feeling of being dragged down by everything and general sh*ttyness. Hopefully it will be over soon and you'll be back to yourself again. Kudos for doing any exercise at all - some days I could barely drag myself off the couch. Hang in there!
  • Cold day here so not so much outdoor exercise, but still managed 30 mins or so dashing around with the large mad puppy, also Yes to calories and logging. (Wrote a much longer post but it only posted the first line. Am in the middle of cooking supper now, so will post more later.)
  • Great post @craigo3154 I also dislike the gym - fortunately there are no gyms within traveling distance in my corner of rural France so I no longer feel guilty about not darkening their doors! I also don't like team sports, running/jogging, or anything that involves routinely getting cold wet and muddy. In short, I am not…
  • @LouS8725 Take care of yourself, keep warm and hope you feel better soon. A friend of mine has fibromyalgia and it is a real *kitten*.
  • 3 Yes for me tonight. Bit of a miserable day weather-wise so indoor exercise only, apart from brief trips to the garden to supervise the dogs.
  • @dejavuohlala my thoughts are with you. @Ka9 That picture is unbelievable - I could never have done such a thing. Respect! Unexpected NSV today. Was sorting out some more clothes to put in/bring out of storage and came across a dress I bought last year for a funeral. It arrived too late for me to take it with me and when I…
  • Thanks @craigo3154 for the great opening post. Walked up to the village this morning for the Armistice Commemoration at the local war memorial. Very low-key, but very moving when 3 children of the village read out the names of the fallen. I have always got on reasonably well with my 3 siblings - although we no longer live…
  • 3 Yes for me today. Lovely photos @RangerRickL
  • Great attitude - all the best!
  • Have a great holiday @RangerRickL
  • Exercise - Yes. 40 mins walking into village (inc. hills). Very nice friend gave us a lift home (backpacks full of shopping) or would have been over 1hr walking - fine for me but my partner struggles a bit with the gradients. We live under a kilometre from the ville, but there is a valley in between, quite steep (1st gear…
  • @trixsey1 sorry your dog is not well, hope she's feeling better soon. My puppy was a bit off-colour and off his food a couple of days ago and it was horrible not being able to make him feel better. He's back to bouncing and bounding around now though.
