  • Today's weigh in---277 lbs. From 301 lbs. Coming off slow, but steady. 24 lbs in about two months now. If I can maintain slow but steady as I have I will be very close to my goal weight in less than 10 months.
  • Wow! Amazing! Awesome! You're an inspiration! What else can I say?
  • Thanks folks. Observations and results so far are that my knees and joints have really stopped hurting when I walk. I imagine that was a lot of fluid build up in them from the food I was eating before, but also the 17 lbs of weight lifted too. Amazing what just changing my eating habits has accomplished in such a short…
  • I know people say this all of the time, but you look beautiful and like a different person! You are an inspiration indeed! Nice work.
  • I'm not a *green tea* lover like some. I started drinking this because it's a healthy addition to my daily diet with the antioxidants and other health benefits. I add creamers to mine and it actually taste good. I drink this green tea in place of snacks. I've found that a lot of times I'm satisfied with something to drink…
  • I love my morning coffee with creamers (no sugar). I drink both my coffee and the green tea. I know that's lots of caffeine, but I don't want to cut that out as of yet. The creamers are only like 10 or 15 cal each, so I'm not depriving myself of those either. Even some of the foods that I love and aren't so healthy I still…
  • Yes, I realize what you're saying is so true too. I'm not considering this a "diet". I have literally reprogrammed my thinking so-to-speak by realizing this is a lifestyle change--*forever*. I'm not in a hurry at all. I realize that this is going to take some time and I'm giving myself that time that I know it's going to…
  • Yes-yes-- it is hard for me to walk for a long distance right now because the weight has taken it's toll on my knees. So I've been hopping on the exercise bike when I can to help burn calories. I'm hoping that as the weight comes off, I'll be able to walk longer distances than I can now.
  • Thank you! I am eating below maintenance every day. Right now I'm counting calories and staying between 1000 and 1200 a day along with normal daily activity that's burning off about 2600 a day. I'm hoping that maintaining this will keep me at a consistent loss without starving myself at all. I'm also drinking the Matcha…
  • Thank you. Another thing that I've found helpful, but others may do it differently--is that I weigh in every morning before I eat or drink anything. This has really been encouraging to me because I can see the daily progress. I never weigh myself until the next morning. I bought a good digital scale that gives the exact…
  • Hi, I just signed up here a couple days ago too. I just turned 59 and I've battled weight gain most of my life. Decided I could do this on my own without any surgery after reading all of the testimonies of people who've done the same. Last week I weighed in at 301 lbs, today I'm 293. Gotta a long way to go, but every…

  • Thank you all for the friends requests. Please forgive me for being a little slow figuring out how the site works. I'm still exploring all of the features here. Again--thanks so much. Hugs, Raney
  • Yes, yes--I agree with you that there's no quick fix. I have sat down and thought about this for a long time now and I know that unless I dedicate myself to making a lifestyle change that I'll end up like my friend who gained her weight back after surgery. This is something that I know I will have to watch every day for…
  • We really do need each other for support. I can't believe just reading some of these testimonies has given me so much more hope for success. My knees still hurt and walking is really painful after a short distance for me. I have a Nordictrack exercise bike that I've been using and swimming in my pool as often as I can. I'm…
