  • Love the Red Rock Canyon photo
  • A restored T-33 Shooting Star. Taking it to an airshow. It's a privilege to help keep history alive.
  • Just a MFP user that has to work hard to keep his Flight Medical current 'cause flying is just too much fun. :)
  • Try Vasque, if your on rocks for any distance you might consider ankle support. Lots of shoes/boots from which to choose, I have a pair that's done 3 Grand Canyon (rim2rim), 4 Zion, 2 Bryce, etc, I'm taking them on the Gold Rush trail in Alaska this summer. DON'T skimp. Nothing worse that your feet hurting.
  • I do all the shopping/cooking (lucky wife!) my fun is to play with recipes to see the substitutes I can do yet still bake something tasty. Gluten free for my brother and low sugar/carb for me. As others have posted there are many good to go recipes to bake that really taste good.
  • Wasn't too impressed with FitBits' accuracy (HR, counting steps when I'm sitting, etc.) so I tossed it. No biggie on my workouts. Many months later I got a TomTom Spark 3 (because you can swim with it) found it to be a accurate tool worth wearing.

I also find my Charge HR to be a little optimistic in measuring calories burned so I personally adjust for that
  • I'm sorry.... "Battlefield Earth" When any movie tries to be serious but ends up sooooo bad, that is a great Bad Movie Night !
  • Age 55, 203 lbs. to 170 lbs. Doing Sprint (occasional Olympic) length Triathlons to keep me motivated to train.. otherwise it's chips/beer/TV!
  • All good advice. Keep it simple in the transition. Zip laces, velcro straps on my bike shoes. Everything set up simple (don't forget to practice!) I also ordered tri numbers rather than the sharpie on my skin... I just wondered what chemicals I was absorbing, probably ok. It's a great, friendly group... enjoy
  • Just make sure it is a Rescued Dog! Our rescue site is www.grrsn.org for Golden Ret.
  • I guess after 3 generations of family and fifty+ years of living in Las Vegas the stereo typical impressions never leave... as kids, we used to tell the tourists we get bussed to California because there are no schools here. :) The Strip.. yeah, maybe not a good idea for kids (don't bother with it myself and never brought…
