I keep a small one at my desk in the office so I can grill veggies for a salad. I also use it for paninis too. Once in a while I will also grill some protein at the office too. Basically there is nothing that you can't make on one.

I am writing a cookbook and have a website that I am slowly adding recipes to. I need a variety of quality foods to eat and can get bored easily with the same old thing. I have over 300 recipes entered into MFP. My recent diary entries have not been accurately recorded since MFP is still trying to fix a bug in the way the…

Wow...Did the gma know making valentines and buying shoes were against the rules and breaking family boundaries? Do your kids feet grow at the same rate or is gma so vindictive she buys shoes needlessly for one child and treats the other poorly? Either there is a lot of information missing in the dynamics of your family…

There are a multitude of bread recipes. Lighter airier breads will have less calories than denser breads. Try swapping ingredients such as water for milk, increasing the proof time for the yeast, or adding egg whites or baking powder for extra leavening. Changing the shape of the bread can help too. If you usually use a…

Personally, setting small rewards undermines my success because it causes me to avoid focusing on my real goal - A healthier, happier, and longer life. I am not on a diet that I need to stick to until I achieve some arbitrary goal. I choose to pay attention to how much better I feel when I eat and exercise. Then the…

Was the vet able to do any tests and identify the problem?

It is a great idea. I plan ahead like you do and if something comes up unexpectedly to throw off a given day I can adjust my menu in the few days that follows. My food philosophy is - Life is to be savored so savor every meal! I do not believe that any food I truly want needs to be off limits. The healthier I eat the…

I have a bad back and shoulders so I "run" on a mini-trampoline in my bedroom so there is minimal stress on my body. C25K is a free great app that walks you from being a couch potato to running a 5K. I was surprised how easy it was because I heard the same voices predicting failure. But you rally can do it. If you already…

A big bowl of spinach with 2 poached eggs and a sprinkle of Kirkland precooked bacon. I poach the eggs in a bowl of hot water in my microwave on high for 1 minute

I like using fresh picked leaves from my stevia plant.

Increasing the veggies and cutting back on the size of the main entree or making a veggie soup are great starts. I use Suzie's Crackers or Mary's Gone Crackers as a base for a delightful snack so I don't a higher calorie snack bar.

I am a 51 year old woman living just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in the heart of the northern CA wine country an hour north of San Francisco. My sister is a retired school teacher and married into a family of teachers. I have worked in offices before and understand the many temptations that my coworkers would bring in…

It comes down to a choice of weather you want to eat more of "low calorie" versions of certain foods or weather you prefer to have a small portion of a "classic" recipe you really enjoy. I try to eat from the perspective of consciously choosing the value of each calorie I consume. Therefore, if I make a "low calorie"…

I use just a bit of ground turkey and a lot of Minnesota wild rice. I like it better and it ups the nutrition while knocking a lot off the calories. I also puree red peppers and tomatoes with herb d'provence, garlic, and Hungarian paprika to make the sauce that goes over it. You can also bulk of the filling with zucchini…

Beans to be pureed into a healthier version of refried beans for tomorrows tacos.

I make muffins similar to this a lot. Your substitutions will work but the texture will be different. I don't put any oil/butter or sugar in my muffins. I puree fresh apples for sweetness and moisture. I add a bit of Torani sugar free vanilla syrup too. I also swap egg beaters for whole egg all the time when I bake.

It's funny you should ask. My next BlogTalkRadio.com broadcast is on that very subject. My favorite ways to use them include cranberry pudding thickened with tapioca and sugared cranberries. The pudding is delicious warm or cold. The sugared berries are a great snack and look like mini snowballs but really don't have much…

For me it's quality or quantity. I have a small percentage of my "friends" who are actively involved in commenting on what I am doing. Most of those that do comment I have developed friendships with that allow me to realize that if they don't comment on everything I do it is because they are busy with things and they know…

I do not like all the added sugar found in commercial jams merely from a flavor standpoint. So I would make some fresh warm fruit jam. I just gently puree (but still leaving chunks) some of my favorite fruits, add some vanilla and/or honey to strawberries or cinnamon to apples, etc and zap in the microwave to warm. If…

I rarely use salt because there are so many other seasoning options. Just experiment and find out what flavor profiles you like. Even within spices there are variations. For example - there is a huge difference between McCormick's paprika, Hungarian paprika, smoked paprika, and hot paprika. There is also a huge difference…

I sometimes mix in pureed red pepper, asparagus, carrots, spinach, etc for flavored pasta.

This blog is on Chicago Thin Crust Pizza. There is a link to the recipe page which has recipes for all of the component parts to make an authentic Chicago Thin Crust. There are also complete step by step instructions to get the thin crisp crust. A 12" cheese pizza is only 242 calories. Adding my favorite toppings - turkey…

Likewise - I used pro on my droid incredible for years and it still works great on my galaxy note 2. I would try uninstalling and downloading the app - but I assume you've already done that. =(

There are a couple of variety of stevia plants. I can't tell you which is which but one tastes really good with no aftertaste - one is a bit bitter. The good one I puree in my smoothies or make a simple syrup of sorts by blending in water and storing in the fridge. Also the flavor can be effected by stuff the growers spray…

Hey girl...would you rather be 59 years old and 290 pounds with "filled out" skin or a 59 year old 145 pounds with extra skin flapping in the wind? Everyday of your life you may need to face the challenges you've overcome thus far. Give your body, heart, and mind time to adjust. Hang in there girl! XOXO

If you use boneless breast and cut it up into slices or bite sized pieces it cookes very quickly in a saute pan - Just 2-3 minutes. A bone in breat can go in the oven about 350 for 40 minutes or so. My favorite seasonings are herb d'provence, lemon pepper, and hungarian paprika. Lemon juice, garlic, and onion powder are…
