Rollercoasters!!! I'm always afraid I won't fit so I never do them now. I also want some knee high boots that don't have to be specially made!

This. That being said - I felt the same way. It took a week or so before I realised it's not THAT much of an issue. MFP does most of the work, I just tell it what I've eaten and it tells me how much fat/carb/sugar that is. It's a few minutes a day.

Sounds to me like these people are your friends. I'd be totally fine with someone saying to me that they are trying to be healthier/lose weight. You may find that it inspires them to go a little healthier too :) Failing that, I agree with the poster who said offer to bring a salad each meal. And finally...try not to fixate…
